We recently connected with Kasey Blaustein Greener and have shared our conversation below.
Kasey, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What was it like going from idea to execution? Can you share some of the backstory and some of the major steps or milestones?
I didn’t launch Kasey Jones, Ink. with a formal plan or a big reveal. It honestly started with one small “yes.” I was working full-time, and a friend asked me to help design something for an event. I said yes, even though I had no clue how to price it or what the process should be—I just knew I could make it special. That led to someone else reaching out… and then another. Suddenly, I was saying yes to more projects than I ever expected.
The early days were scrappy. I didn’t have a website, a logo, or even a proper invoice template. I was figuring it all out as I went—Googling how to set up an LLC, staying up late working on pitch decks, learning how to navigate client calls and timelines while trying not to sound like I was completely winging it (which I was, a little).
What helped me move beyond the idea phase was action. I didn’t wait until everything was perfect—I just kept showing up, making things, and solving problems. And with every project, I built a little more confidence, structure, and clarity around what I wanted my business to be.
Eventually, I realized I was creating not just pretty things, but experiences—art-powered, strategic, joyful experiences that brands wanted more of. That’s when it clicked: this wasn’t just freelance work. This was a company. So I gave it a name, designed my own deck, and fully stepped into it. And even now, I still build it one yes, one idea, one creative leap at a time.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Hi! I’m Kasey Blaustein Greener, Founder and Creative Director of Kasey Jones, Ink., a creative studio built around the belief that art and play have the power to transform how people experience brands. I specialize in creating what I call art-powered brand moments—murals, live activations, curated press mailers, custom packaging, and product collaborations that feel joyful, intentional, and elevated.
My path into this work wasn’t traditional—I didn’t have a business plan or investor backing when I started. I said yes to one creative project that led to another, and before I knew it, I was working late nights, teaching myself how to run a business, and slowly building a studio that blended my love of design, storytelling, and experience-making. I come from a background in branding and marketing for luxury lifestyle brands, so I understand how to create beautiful things that also make strategic sense.
At Kasey Jones, Ink., we help brands connect more meaningfully with their audience through thoughtful, creative, and unexpected expressions. That might mean a custom-designed tarot deck that ties into a brand’s product launch, a color-by-numbers mural activation at a conference, or a high-touch PR mailer that sparks genuine excitement and leaves a lasting impression. We’re known for attention to detail, collaborative spirit, and turning imaginative ideas into something tangible and memorable.
What sets us apart is how we combine heart and strategy. I approach every project with curiosity and creativity, but also with an eye on how it will resonate, share, and build connection. I’m especially proud of the partnerships we’ve built—with everyone from global brands to beloved bookstores—and the fact that so much of our work is driven by referrals and returning clients.
Most of all, I want people to know that this work is deeply personal. I pour myself into every mural, every sketch, every concept. Whether you’re a big brand or a one-person team with a bold idea, I want to help you bring your vision to life—beautifully, thoughtfully, and with a little everyday magic.
Have you ever had to pivot?
When COVID hit, everything changed overnight—especially for a business like mine that was rooted in in-person experiences. A big part of our work was creating murals and live brand activations, and suddenly, events were off the table. I remember feeling that initial panic: How do we keep going when so much of what we do depends on people gathering?
That’s when we pivoted to something we had only touched on before—brand mailers. I realized that while people couldn’t connect in person, brands still needed ways to show up, tell their story, and make people feel something. So we started designing high-touch, creatively packaged mailers that captured the energy of an in-person event, but in a totally shippable, unboxing-friendly way.
It started with a few clients who trusted us to reimagine what a brand experience could look like in a box—and it worked. The mailers created real buzz, genuine connection, and beautiful moments that people wanted to share. And even after events came back, that part of our business didn’t go away. It actually grew.
Now, brand mailers are a major part of what we do. That pivot didn’t just keep us afloat during a difficult time—it opened up an entirely new creative lane for us, and it’s become one of the most joyful and impactful parts of our work.
Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?
For me, keeping in touch with clients and building brand loyalty is all about genuine connection. I don’t look at our work together as transactional—it’s collaborative, creative, and often personal. So I try to stay connected in ways that feel thoughtful and true to my brand.
Sometimes that means sending a quick check-in email or a note just to say hi and share a fun idea. Other times it’s a small, curated gift or a creative mailer to show appreciation or remind them what we’re capable of. I also love sending updates when I launch something new or when I see an opportunity that feels like a great fit for them.
What builds loyalty, I’ve found, is consistency and care. I treat every project like it matters—because it does. I listen, I try to go above and beyond, and I make sure that the process feels as good as the final product. That energy tends to carry through, and it’s why a lot of our clients come back again and again or refer us to others.
At the end of the day, people remember how you made them feel—and I try to make sure they feel seen, supported, and creatively inspired.
