Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Karyna Perahudava. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Karyna, thanks for joining us today. It’s always helpful to hear about times when someone’s had to take a risk – how did they think through the decision, why did they take the risk, and what ended up happening. We’d love to hear about a risk you’ve taken.
One of the biggest risks I’ve taken in my life was moving to the US. I had to drop everything in my country (Belarus) where I lived for 17 years and right after my high school graduation hop on a flight to a completely new life for me. I still miss my relatives and friends, so I can’t wait to visit them soon, but honestly looking back, I would’ve not changed a single thing. I think that when there is a risk, there is an opportunity, and taking a step of faith is never easy, but people who’re willing to do that are usually the ones who actually grow in life. When we think about our teeth, they grow under pressure with pain. I think that a lot of times we don’t live our full potential and don’t fully use all the talents and gifts that God has given us, because we’re simply scared of the failure, but what if it that one thing you’ve always been putting back is actually going to change your life?
Before making big decisions I always pray, because I always want to know that where I’m stepping into is a part of God’s plan for me. 5 years in America were such a journey, but I would’ve not been where I am now if I stayed in my comfort zone. I got to learn the language, finish college, meet so many amazing people on my way, grow in fashion marketing, modeling and everything that I truly love and I’m sure it’s just the beginning. With all the trials and difficulties, my family and I got stronger and honestly even more united.
Taking a risk is never easy but it can be a life changer or a redirection, which is great in both ways. I think that when we have a dream on our heart to do something, it means that we already have everything we need to accomplish that. Don’t let the fear of the unknown scare you. Use your gifts and talents to make a change and serve others!

Karyna, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Karyna, I’m 22 years old. I moved to US from Belarus 5 years with my family. I work in fashion industry, while doing fashion marketing, modeling, creating content and managing social media. I work at the modeling school and an agency, participate in apparel fashion shows in Atlanta and Vegas, and do freelance modeling. A few weeks ago I graduated with the Bachelors Degree in Media Entrepreneurship and want to actively develop my skills in media and content creation. I recently started my YouTube channel and I really have on my heart to keep doing and growing my blog, and potentially start a podcast. I’m a very active person, I always have thousand things going on every single day, but I love everything I do. Church is a big part of my life, I’m involved in worship and kids ministry, I also dance and love event planning. I love meeting new people and making beautiful connections. I’m always looking for opportunities to expand my network and career experience, so I’m always interested to collaborate and work together with other creatives.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
I think that the coolest thing about being a creative is freedom. There are no limits for creativity and there are so many beautiful things that come out because of the network and collaborations with other artists. I think that when we truly use our potential, gifts, ideas, unique talents, – it always ends up being a big blessing to people around us. I’m very passionate about encouraging people, uplifting and inspiring them to live their life with passion and purpose. I think that the most rewarding aspect is making an impact, seeing a change, speaking life and bringing hope.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
I’m currently involved in fashion and modeling industry and I absolutely love what I do, but I also want to dedicate more time into content creation and developing my blog, because I’ve always been passionate about making videos, editing and creation. I want to share my experience and thoughts on different topics that I believe will help especially younger girls to understand their identity, calling, purpose and be confident. I want to inspire people to be live their life fully, to love God and others, and to be bold and dream big, while taking action to make their dreams a reality and being a change everywhere they go.
