We were lucky to catch up with Karyn Eilber recently and have shared our conversation below.
Karyn, appreciate you joining us today. Setting up an independent practice is a daunting endeavor. Can you talk to us about what it was like for you – what were some of the main steps, challenges, etc.
I had no idea what I was doing but I was unhappy and needed a change

Karyn, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I am one of only 9.5% of urologists who are women. I wanted to do gynecology but not deliver babies. Taking care of mainly women over the years, and becoming a mother and moving through the phases of life, I see first hand how strong women are and how they almost always put others before themselves–even when it comes to their own health which is why I started doing research on female sexual dysfunction and became a certified menopause practitioner. So that I can help other women
