We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Karma Leeann a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Karma, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?
A risk I took.. when I was 17 I left everything I knew in my hometown and moved 2,000 miles away this impacted my entire life-for the better. I got out of a toxic environment, which led me to getting my own place. I was able to focus on and prioritize my healing and myself, I grew a stronger relationship with the love of my life and learned so many new things. It was a risk because I knew basically nobody out there and starting over can be so scary sometimes- but also necessary.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I am a Mental Health creator on TikTok, I go by the username @probablypettingcats. I share my personal stories, have “therapy time” in live streams, help out people 1 on 1, share poetry/ mental health related art/ crafts , tips and techniques. I want to help as many people as I can with the knowledge I have.

Have you ever had to pivot?
As a Mental Health creator I go through burnout a LOT but managing my time and prioritizing my self care, and getting professional help changed the game for me

Are there any books, videos, essays or other resources that have significantly impacted your management and entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy?
I have read many books in my lifetime especially because research is 50% of what I do. By far my favorite has been “The power of small” (found it at dollar tree surprisingly, don’t judge a book by its cover)
