Hi Karla, thanks for joining us today. Let’s kick things off with talking about how you serve the underserved, because in our view this is one of the most important things the small business community does for society – by serving those who the giant corporations ignore, small business helps create a more inclusive and just world for all of us.
We represent immigrants who are facing deportation. This community is underserved given the language barrier and the limited access to funds for legal representation. Contrary to a criminal proceedings where you have the ability to be appointed a lawyer, in immigration proceedings, lawyers are a luxury not a right. The sad truth is that most of these people have spent most of their life savings in pursuit of a better life and by the time they make it into the United States they are destitute. It is very important that immigrants have adequate representation because many times they are seeking protection to safeguard their lives due to dangers in their home country. If they do not have a lawyer to represent them, the government will do everything in their power to ensure their return home.
Our firm focuses solely on immigration cases throughout the United States. We strive to provide efficient and solution based legal services with a pleasant demeanor and honesty and integrity in our dealings with all individuals we come in contact with.
