We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Karla Nunez. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Karla below.
Hi Karla , thanks for joining us today. Looking back at the decisions you made early in your career, particularly whether to join a firm or start your own, do you feel you made the right choice for that stage of your career?
I decided to start my own company alongside my sister, Karlenis Núñez, because it had always been a dream of mine to build something meaningful—something that could truly bless and help others. When the time came, I took a leap of faith. Just three months ago, I left a job I had been in for over two years to follow my dreams and create my own company, specializing in immigration document preparation, notary services, and document drafting.
This dream was also deeply personal because my father was a lawyer in our home country, Venezuela. Growing up, I was always surrounded by his work, witnessing firsthand the passion he had for helping his clients by providing them with practical solutions. Seeing the dedication and love he poured into his profession was a major inspiration for me.
Looking back, I absolutely believe I made the right choice. It wasn’t just about starting a business; it was about carrying forward a legacy of service, making a difference in people’s lives, and doing something I truly love. I am incredibly grateful to have taken this step, especially alongside my sister, and I am excited for all that’s ahead.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I have been living in the United States for five years, specifically in Fort Worth, Texas, as an immigrant. When I first arrived, I faced many uncertainties and challenges. I went through difficult situations due to a lack of knowledge, as the laws here are completely different from those in my home country. However, by the grace of God, I have always received His favor and blessings. God placed the right people around me, guiding me through the process of adjusting my immigration status, along with my husband and children. I am deeply grateful for that experience, and it was what inspired me to study, become certified as a paralegal, and stay up to date with immigration regulations.
Today, through DNB Services Group, I provide document preparation services, assisting with the completion of immigration forms such as asylum applications, Temporary Protected Status (TPS), family petitions, and work permits. But beyond simply filling out forms, my approach is to offer a warm and personalized service. I want every person who walks into my office to feel safe, understood, and supported throughout their process.
What truly sets us apart from other companies in this field is our personalized case follow-up. We don’t just fill out forms—we take the time to sit with each client, carefully explain every section, answer their questions with patience and empathy, and ensure they fully understand each step of their process. Additionally, we assist in drafting notarized powers of attorney, essential for those who need to buy or sell property in their home countries.
At DNB Services Group, our motto is: “Your peace of mind and security are our priority.” We don’t just process paperwork—we provide trust and support in times of uncertainty.
What makes me most proud is when a satisfied client recommends me to someone else, saying they have found someone they can truly trust. Credibility means everything to me, and I know that all the honor and glory belong to God. My mission is to continue helping more people by sharing valuable information through my social media platforms on Instagram and Facebook, fostering trust in a constantly changing immigration landscape. My purpose is clear: to bring peace, confidence, and credibility to those who need it most.

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
One of the biggest challenges I have faced was when I arrived in the United States five years ago. As I mentioned earlier, I already had an established career in my home country—I hold a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, a master’s degree, and I was in the final stages of my Ph.D. when I made the difficult decision to immigrate. My entire academic and professional background was centered around education, both at the preschool and university levels.
Coming here meant facing a completely different culture, new challenges, and an unfamiliar system. Despite these obstacles, I initially tried to stay within my field of expertise—education. That’s why, from my early years in the U.S., I began serving in my church, Roca Fuerte DFW, helping young people apply for scholarships and guiding them through the educational process. It was my way of staying connected to my passion and continuing to make a difference in people’s lives.
However, over time, life began to steer me in a different direction. I noticed a huge need within my community for assistance with immigration paperwork and legal documentation. Many people, just like me when I first arrived, were struggling to navigate a complex and unfamiliar system. That realization led me to formally prepare myself, get certified as a paralegal and a document preparer, and fully dedicate myself to this new mission.
It was a drastic change, but also a beautiful one. Even though my professional path took an unexpected turn, my purpose remains the same: to serve, support, and make a difference in people’s lives. Every time I help someone complete a legal form, understand their options, or simply feel more at ease with their process, I experience an incredible sense of fulfillment. This transition has allowed me to continue being a pillar of support for my community, and that, to me, is priceless.
The support from my pastors has been crucial throughout this entire process. Their guidance, encouragement, and constant prayers have given me the strength I needed in moments of doubt and challenge. They have always been by my side, supporting my work and providing the confidence to keep moving forward.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
Without a doubt, the best source for gaining new clients has been word-of-mouth recommendations from our own customers. While social media helps with visibility, nothing compares to the impact of a genuine recommendation from someone who has had a positive experience with us.
We strive to provide empathetic, personalized, and effective service, putting ourselves in our clients’ shoes, understanding their situation, and offering clear and reliable solutions. This level of commitment builds trust, and our clients appreciate it so much that they willingly recommend us to their family and friends.
For us, it is a true pleasure to serve in this way, knowing that beyond offering a service, we are making a real difference in the lives of those who trust us. Being a blessing to our community is our greatest reward.
