My inspiration comes from a deep passion for supporting entrepreneurs and small to medium-sized businesses (SMBs). I saw firsthand how challenging it can be for these businesses to achieve their goals and grow without adequate operational support. This motivated me to create a virtual assistant agency that provides tailored, affordable services to help them thrive.

Additionally, I am committed to providing fair income opportunities to talented professionals from my home country, Ecuador. We have an incredible pool of skilled individuals who often don’t get the recognition or compensation they deserve. By connecting them with businesses that need their expertise, I aim to create a positive impact both for the businesses we support and for the professionals we employ. My name is Karla Lopez Mora, and I’m the founder of International VA, a virtual assistant agency committed to helping entrepreneurs and small to medium-sized businesses (SMBs) achieve their goals and streamline their operations.

My journey into this industry started when I saw firsthand the challenges SMBs face in managing their day-to-day operations. Many of these businesses struggle with limited resources and time constraints, making it difficult for them to focus on growth and strategic initiatives. This inspired me to create International VA, a solution that provides comprehensive support to these businesses, enabling them to thrive.

At International VA, we offer a wide range of services including business development, executive assistance, digital marketing, social media management, translations, and scheduling management. Our goal is to provide customized solutions that address the unique needs of each client, allowing them to concentrate on their core business activities and drive growth.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?

Absolutely. One of the most challenging yet rewarding parts of my journey was when I was first starting International VA. In the beginning, finding clients and earning their trust was a significant hurdle. I had to prove not only the value of our services but also that we could deliver on our promises.

I vividly remember reaching out to potential clients, often facing skepticism because we were a new agency. It required a lot of persistence and resilience to keep going despite the initial rejections. I spent countless hours refining our pitch, demonstrating our capabilities, and ensuring that every interaction showcased our professionalism and dedication.

Simultaneously, I was also working behind the scenes to figure out the operational aspects of the business. From setting up the necessary technology to hiring and training a reliable team, there were numerous details to manage. It was a steep learning curve, but I was determined to get everything set and ready for business.

There were moments of doubt and exhaustion, but the belief in our mission kept me going. Gradually, as we started securing clients and delivering outstanding results, the trust began to build. Clients saw the impact of our services on their businesses, and our reputation started to grow.

This experience taught me the importance of resilience and persistence. It reinforced my commitment to providing exceptional service and made me even more passionate about helping other businesses succeed. Looking back, those early challenges were crucial in shaping International VA into the reliable and trusted partner we are today.

Can you tell us the story behind how you met your business partner?

When I founded International VA, I quickly realized that to provide top-notch services and grow our agency, I couldn’t do it all alone. I needed a team of amazing professionals, each an expert in their field, to ensure we could offer the best possible support to our clients.

I began by reaching out to my professional network, looking for individuals who shared my vision and passion for helping businesses thrive. Forming this team was one of the best decisions I made for International VA. It not only enhanced our service offerings but also allowed us to scale and take on more clients confidently.
