Hi Karizma, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Creative direction has always been a part of my life, sparking a passion for art from a young age. After graduating high school, I founded my own photography business, initially investing in lenses for my iPhone before upgrading to professional camera equipment and a laptop. Since then, I’ve been growing and refining my craft, constantly pushing myself to improve.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The journey has not always been smooth. Early in my career, I encountered challenges ranging from forgetting an SD card before a shoot to failing to charge my camera battery, and even accidentally scratching the mirror inside my camera, which led to shooting with a blurry viewfinder for a client. I’ve also faced personal struggles, such as feeling insecure about my business not growing fast enough or doubting the quality of my work. However, each challenge has been a valuable learning experience, shaping me into the photographer I am today.

Allure Photography LLC, established in 2019, is a thriving photography business that I proudly operate as the sole photographer. Specializing in creative direction, studio, and event photography, I’ve built a reputation as a driven young female entrepreneur committed to delivering unique, out-of-the-box images. I offer a range of photography services, including studio sessions for children, adults, maternity, brands, and more. Additionally, I provide event photography services across Philadelphia and New Jersey. As I continue to grow my business, I’m excited to work with new clients and help them bring their creative visions to life.
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
The most important lesson I’ve learned in my career is the value of staying true to yourself and finding a shooting and editing style that resonates with you. Every photographer has their own creative approach, but embracing a style that truly reflects who you are is key. Clients are drawn to your authenticity and uniqueness, and that’s what helps you stand out in a crowded industry.
