Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Kari Dale. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Kari, appreciate you joining us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?

My mom passed away suddenly in 2016 and, though we were very close, I don’t have many of photographs with her. She wasn’t a fan of having her picture taken and I never pushed her to be in them. I cherish the photos I do have and I pay it forward for my clients. I strive to provide them with fun, laid back sessions that result in frozen moments in time they can look back on and cherish forever. No matter where life leads, they will have those photographs to carry with them.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers

I’m a natural light photographer specializing in outdoor pet and portrait photography.

About two years ago, I was preparing for the end of my Army career, looking for a hobby and possible future career path. I decided to pick up a camera and take a small class in photography. I absolutely loved it and started offering small photoshoots to my friends and family. Now, not only am I still doing photoshoots for family and friends, but I have a website where potential clients who don’t know me can learn more about me, view my work, and book a session.

I offer low cost photography services and am willing to consider virtually any photoshoot idea my clients bring to me.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?

Hands down, the most rewarding part of my work is bringing a vision, a vague idea, to life through my camera. Being able to tell my client’s story through my photography and seeing how happy they are with the results is the best feeling.

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?

Word of mouth is a huge factor in growing clientele for photographers like myself. I ensure my clients are happy with the photoshoot experience and the end result photos and, not only do they book with me again, they recommend me to their family and friends.
