Alright, Karesha thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Naming anything – including a business – is so hard. Right? What’s the story behind how you came up with the name of your brand?

I came up with the name of my company based strictly from where my late aunt once reside growing up.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

My brand is a lux skincare line that provides protection and a higher being. I’ve recently rebranded from Naturally Melanated to PKWY Off Ponce and it aligns with my sole purpose and vision. What sets PKWY Off Ponce apart from any other skincare brand is we provide you with a luxury feeling. Our products our made to make you feel a life of luxury is for you. Which in turn is our way of assisting in navigating to your higher being. Each order will come with a palo santos stick or sage smudge stick to protect your energy and space. That’s how we provide protection to you with our brand. As my brand grew over the years I knew there would be change in some way. The former brand Naturally Melanated LLC was my catalyst to reach others and inspire others to get me where I am today with PKWY Off Ponce LLC. My late aunt last words to me were to live in my truth and do what my heart desires, make an impact as I see fit in the world. I feel her in all that I do and my brand is her. I want the world to know that my brand is for every body and PKWY Off Ponce is the next lux skin bar to come! I’m just getting started and if you haven’t started on your passion this is your sign! Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?

A time I had to pivot is currently with the inflation. Inflation has truly impacted my business. Instead of becoming bummed out about what hasn’t happened for my business, I simply thank the now. Meaning I thank the orders I do get because I know there was a time I went without any orders for months.

How did you build your audience on social media?

I have built and continue to build my audience with consistency. Posting each day and remaining relevant. Taking needed breaks as well as recentering my focus.
