We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Karen Wade a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Karen, thanks for joining us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?

The story behind my mission is helping women with big families keep up with their keys. I was inspired by this because my mom use to always lose her keys and I decided to do something to help her out and that’s how I made my wristlets. I also made them if women had to walk alone to their car at night they won’t be digging through their purse if someone is following them and they need to get away quickly. So that is my story behind my mission helping women with a easy solution to a problem.

My name is Karen I’m 15 years old, I love Boba, and I love fast cars such as Dodge Challengers, Dodge Hellcats, and Jeep Track Hawks. Also, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I speak French as a secondary language. Future plans to become a Real Estate Broker.

As you all may know, us children are always asking for toys, games, and a lot of unnecessary items when we are at the stores. My parents concepts is to purchase your “needs” first and “wants” later. 2Uniq Collection LLC was started to purchase my wants, which later turned into a huge financial life lesson.
2Uniq Collection offers keychains, lanyards, wristlets, and more . My unique wristlets are my #1 seller, they help reduce the weight of your keys while securing your keys safely on your wrist. Also, they are very fashionable.

What I’m most proud of is that I’m meeting different people and changing my customers lives. And I’m most proud of is that my business is teaching me how to save money and make more money at the same time.

Can you talk to us about how your funded your business?

How I funded my business is I finally convinced my parents after 6 months by showing them my business plan and explain how I was going to make my products. Once I received the funds I started making my initial keychains which was my popular product at the time. And started to work my way up to the lanyard and wristlets I have today.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?

What I think helped me build my reputation Is I’m respectful to my clients, My clients love my presentations at different pop-up shops, And when someone order I’m time efficient with the orders so my clients get their orders on time.
