We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Karen Sterling. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Karen below.
Hi Karen, thanks for joining us today. Was there a defining moment in your professional career? A moment that changed the trajectory of your career?
I have been doing hair over 37 years. I felt like clients were mentioning hair loss more and more and decided to start educating myself to be able to help more. In this journey I discovered several solutions and began to get really excited about helping others. Not only do I now feel extremely educated but have been able to provide life changing services for women, men and children.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I am originally from Los Angeles.I started my hair career at 16 years old. I have been in the industry for over 37 years. I have been a certified hair loss Specialist for 7 years. I offer all types of hair loss solutions to people experiencing hair loss for many reasons including alopecia, medical conditions, hormonal changes, COVID long haul, genetics and any other causes of hair loss.
The solution I provide the most is scalp micro needeling. This is an amazing procedure that actually regrows hair! The results I have had are nothing short of amazing.
Helping people regrow hair and get their confidence back is not only my job but a passion of mine. I am emotionally invested in all my clients and feel deeply about being able to help where I can. This is in addition to my hands on experience is what sets me apart. I am excited to share my knowledge and educate every step of the way.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
Just recently I ended a business partnership because it was not serving as a positive experience for me. It was difficult as we were very successful but now I am investing in my own future. I have had to start over with marketing and advertising and these are not my strengths. But providing a service and connecting with clients is my strength so I know it will all be fine.
If you could go back in time, do you think you would have chosen a different profession or specialty?
If I could go back in time I would ABSOLUTELY choose the same path. Being in the hair industry has brought me so much joy.
