We recently connected with Kamia Williams and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Kamia, thanks for joining us today. Can you talk to us about serving the underserved.
Yes — my entire brand was built to serve the people who’ve been historically overlooked, underestimated, and left out of the conversation. I serve the dreamers who didn’t come from wealth, the first-generation entrepreneurs figuring it out as they go, and the everyday people who know they’re meant for more but just need access to the right resources to get started.
This work is deeply personal to me. I remember talking to a woman who had the heart, the hustle, and a clear vision — but she was completely stuck. She had been denied by banks, misled by online gurus, and overwhelmed by the business world that made her feel like she wasn’t good enough. What she needed wasn’t just encouragement. She needed a plan. She needed someone to show her how to structure her business, access capital, and take control of her future.
That’s what I do. My business gives people the blueprint I wish I had when I started. I help them go from uncertain to unshakable — from stuck to funded — without needing perfect credit, a business degree, or thousands of dollars upfront.
Whether I’m helping someone launch their first business, prepare for funding, or build long-term infrastructure, I’m doing it with the people who’ve been told “no” too many times in mind. And now, with my upcoming consumer credit builder card, I’ll be creating access on an even deeper level — giving people the chance to build their credit and open doors the system once shut on them.
To me, serving the underserved isn’t just something I do. It’s the reason I started.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I’m Kamia Williams — a 23-year-old visionary entrepreneur, business architect, and legacy builder from Dallas, Texas. I help everyday people start, build, and scale real businesses, even if they’re starting from scratch with no capital, no structure, and no clue where to begin. My brand exists to give people the blueprint I wish I had when I started.
I got into this work not because I had it all figured out — but because I didn’t. I started my entrepreneurial journey at 17, with no money, no connections, and no idea how to turn my ideas into something real. I was staying up late watching YouTube videos about side hustles and business ideas, trying to find my place. Every video had one thing in common: you needed money to start. And I had none.
That moment sent me down the rabbit hole of learning credit, funding, business formation, and brand strategy. I became obsessed with figuring out how to use structure, strategy, and capital to build something real — and over time, I started helping others do the same. Since then, I’ve helped entrepreneurs secure over $10 million in funding, structure their companies, and launch scalable offers with confidence.
Right now, I offer business strategy, capital access guidance, funding education, and digital resources to help new and early-stage entrepreneurs get out of survival mode and into real structure. I help them fix what’s broken in their foundation so they can finally grow. My upcoming consumer credit builder card is the next step in that journey — giving people better tools to improve their credit and position themselves for future opportunities. If successful, I’ll become the youngest Black woman in history to launch a credit builder card from scratch.
But I’m not stopping there. My long-term vision is to build a multi-industry empire — with companies across finance, hospitality, rideshare, tech, and beyond. I’m not just building for income. I’m building for impact. I want to change what access looks like for the people who’ve been locked out for far too long.
What sets me apart is that I’m not teaching from the mountaintop — I’m building it all in real time. I don’t pretend to have it all figured out. I just believe in sharing the blueprint as I walk through it, and making sure no one else has to figure it out alone.
What I want people to know is this: You don’t have to have it all together to start. You just have to be willing to build. And I’m here to help you do it.
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
There was a point in my journey where everything looked like it was falling apart. I had no money coming in, no safety net, and I was questioning if I had what it really took to keep going. I remember sitting in silence, thinking, “Is this even worth it?” I had a vision for what I wanted to build, but nothing around me looked like it was working.
Still, something in me refused to quit.
Instead of giving up, I created something small. A free resource. A piece of value I could give to others who were trying to figure it out just like I was. That small step reignited my purpose. It reminded me that even when things feel heavy, there’s always something you can do — even if it’s just showing up for one person.
That season taught me that resilience doesn’t always look like winning. Sometimes it just looks like refusing to give up. And that quiet decision to keep going — when no one was clapping, and nothing was perfect — ended up being the moment that changed everything for me.
We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
I had to unlearn the lie that I had to be perfect to be worthy. That I had to have more money, more followers, more results — more of everything — before I could step up and say, “This is what I do. This is what I have to offer.”
I wasted so much time trying to “get ready.” Planning. Tweaking. Doubting myself. Watching other people launch while I kept second-guessing if I was enough. Deep down, I didn’t feel qualified — and I kept waiting for someone or something to validate me.
But the truth is, the longer you wait for permission, the more you delay your purpose. And no amount of preparation will make you feel worthy if you don’t believe you already are.
So I started scared. Started unsure. Started with $0 and shaky confidence. And I’ve been figuring it out ever since — but now, I move with the understanding that you don’t have to be perfect to change lives. You just have to show up with a willing heart and the courage to begin.
