Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Kalicia Rolsal. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Kalicia , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. If you could go back in time do you wish you had started your creative career sooner or later?
I definitely wish I would’ve started really pursuing my creative career sooner. I’ve always love creating from a very young age, but it always took a back seat to the usual school studies and career paths. Starting sooner would’ve allowed me to skip over the unnecessary jobs and paths that really had nothing to do with my passion. Looking back, I would’ve just been 100% into my creative career, even if that meant the people around me just didn’t understand my plan. However, I do feel like it’s never too late to do something that you’re really passionate about.

Kalicia , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Well, my creative name is KittyB. The Artisan. I mostly work with oil pastels, and most of my work in nature inspired. Since a very young age, I loved to draw, paint, sketch, anything creative you can think of. My art had taken a back seat in my earlier years, but in the past couple years, I’ve decide to rebrand my life and just go all in. Right now, I’m in the process of creating different collections to offer prints of my work. I’m very excited to share my work with the world, and hopefully it brings a little happiness some people as well. I’m most proud of my ambition at the moment. I’m very determined to have my life be everything that I’ve always wanted which includes being an artist and doing what I love full-time!
I want my potential clients to know that my work is how I see Mother Nature around me, and it’s created with passion that I’ve had forever. I’m making more time to really focus on my craft so stay tuned for what’s to come.
We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
A lesson that I had to unlearn is, being an artist isn’t a real job. Growing up, wanting to be an artist wasn’t considered a “real job”. It wasn’t encouraged in school as a serious career path. As I got older and I seen the potential of what an artist can really do, it really motivated me to pursue what I really whated to do despite what I had been told.

Can you share your view on NFTs? (Note: this is for education/entertainment purposes only, readers should not construe this as advice)
NFTs are definitely interesting to me! They kind of took the creative game by storm. I’ve seen some that are beautiful pieces of work and I’m absolutely amazed by it. I see more and more people getting into as well. It’s an avenue that I’ve thought about exploring myself.
