We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Kali Turriff a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Kali, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?

The story of my mission is much bigger than the eye meets. Kali Kreationz wants to draw in people to create more and express it through fashion. Our mission is to create an apparel company that can offer superior design, quality and value to the consumer.

Kali, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

“If fashion is the statement, make your business the topic”. What greatness are you holding back from yourself? Kali Kreationz gives you the opportunity to release that greatness into the world!

Hello my name is Kali Turriff i am 22 years old and I started my business in June of 2022. I always think about my struggles growing up and that’s what makes me so business driven. I started my first Window Tinting business in 2019 with the help from my brother Alonso, he taught me the ins/outs, good and bad of the business world. Potentially realizing merchandise is apart of every company, I figured why not make the clothes myself. Just last year my best friend Alyx brought up the idea of apparel all over again and from there I jumped and that was the start of Kali kreationz. But instead of just my merchandise for tinting, why not make merchandise for other companies. I thought for weeks on how I would execute my plan, then I stopped thinking and started doing. I lived with my mom at the time with my son so I was so limited on how much I can take over the house with my stuff. I eventually moved my office into a storage unit after orders were coming in so fast I couldn’t keep up, within the limited space I had. Two months later I was able to put money down on my apartment completely moved out of the storage unit and brought my office home. With that being said the image I have for my brand is to inspire others and help clients succeed within their businesses as well.

I love supporting small businesses and locals. With the will to design for any occasion. Each order is hand made and custom. There is no strict pricing structure, each order is special. Apparel is one of the top contributing factors in promoting yourself/ business. I personally want to make visions come alive and in the process bring people and eventually bring communities together. Making a difference is what matters to me and I will work around the clock to make this possible. To be proud of anything you must first be proud of yourself and what separates Kali Kreationz FL. from other companies is just that.. I’m proud of you for starting somewhere for starting with us and trusting together we will bring your dream to light. Value your vision, when you do something and truly get it it, it becomes effortless. Invest in yourself so you can do what you love.My passion for this industry is tailored to building a community that levels up to they’re best self!

Any advice for managing a team?

Communication to me is the main factor when managing a team. In order to have accountability and respect from your team you must always provide clear and detailed communication. Maintaining a high morale can mean many things to multiple different people but by listening and engaging with your team solves little problems that could eventually lead to catastrophes and or losses within your business.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?

I personally believe that when you’re a good person eventually good will come onto you. I’m very big on networking and support, and I think a lot of the people that support me have helped tremendously simply by just sharing a post or wearing the apparel. I naturally want to see everybody succeed and I think that plays a big role when finding potential clients and followers.
