Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Kaley Medina. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Kaley thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Can you share a customer success story with us?
“Kaley is a very gifted woman! She has experience and training that qualify her for this job, but more importantly she has mastered the art of keeping calm while we parents freak out.
I called Kaley after I fell asleep while driving to work one day. It was the scariest thing, thinking I could have just left my 7-month-old without a mom. I work full-time and am still breastfeeding. I co-slept with my baby until she was about 6 months old, then unsuccessfully attempted to transition her to the crib.
My baby also started waking up during the night and not going back to sleep for anywhere from 1-3 hours. I was exhausted. I had got into the habit of rocking or nursing her to sleep and our nanny sang and rocked her to sleep during the day for naps.
I was terrified of permanently damaging my child with the cry it out method but was also at my wits end.
Kaley does a wonderful job of explaining the current best evidence for sleep training. She even sent me some articles because my husband (who wasn’t losing sleep by the way) was significantly opposed to the idea of our baby crying at all.
Kaley walked me through our sleep plan, step by step. She very calmly and knowledgeably answered all of my questions. She even managed my anxiety during a frantic sobbing follow up call during the first week when no one in my house was willing to help.
My kiddo is now 9 months old and even with a little regression as she’s learning to walk, I’m confident in my ability to coach her through this stage and come out the other side.
My baby was sleeping through the night in no later than 2 weeks but had at least one or two nights of mostly sleeping through the night in the first week.
No matter which sleep training method you use, it will likely be uncomfortable just due to the nature of change. It was incredibly difficult, but totally worth it.
Kaley made the process feel so much less scary with her reassurance and guidance. Give her a call! She will let you know if your baby is ready for sleep training and will give you a personalized plan and walk you through the rewarding process of teaching your baby to sleep!”

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
I began my company 6 years ago after personally experiencing sleep deprivation when my daughter Evalyn was born. Evalyn was a TERRIBLE sleeper from beginning. She was awake for HOURS on end no matter what was tried to get her to sleep. Being in a constant state of sleep deprivation left her feeling was frazzled, unable to concentrate.
I was nervous about sleep training because I wasn’t comfortable letting my daughter “cry it out.” So, when I learned of gentler methods to teach her how to sleep, I was all in. And to my surprise, my daughter slept all the way through the first time in her life after the first night of sleep training! As a result, both of our lives were changed forever.
My passion became helping parents teach their little ones how to get more sleep due to the incredible success I saw from sleep training My daughter. I completed her Sleep Sense Certification and founded Live Love Sleep to help moms and their children get the sleep they need and deserve.
As a Sleep Consultant, I take a look at the entire picture of what is going on in your child’s life – not just what’s happening in the bedroom. In fact, there are a number of factors that can impact your child’s sleep. These factors include diet, sleep environment, routines and schedule. Likewise, even developmental milestones can impact your child’s sleep. My team and I review all of these factors while creating a child’s sleep plan to SOLVE families sleep problems once and for all!
My team and I create a customized sleep plan to address each child’s specific needs that is discussed in detail during a private consultation. The secret to my success is follow up support. My team and work with our clients several weeks to address any questions and troubleshoot issues as they arise. As a Live Love Sleep Consultants, our job is to identify and modify each family’s plan as they go to ensure they’re reaching their sleep goals within just a few weeks!
As one of my former clients put it “I can only describe this experience as utterly LIFE CHANGING!”
Since starting as a solopreneur in 2016, I’ve grown my team to 8 consultants to help even more families get the rest they need.
.
Can you talk to us about how your side-hustle turned into something more.
Live Love Sleep did start out as my side hustle. I was working full time as a financial analyst at an oil and gas company in Houston when I started the business. Once my daughter began sleeping through the night, I had a ton of time to burn in the evenings and thought I could help a few families a month solve their child’s sleep.
It would help give me some fulfillment with my job (budgets and debits/credits just weren’t doing it for me) and help give families the gift of sleep. I focused on growing locally in Houston and becoming the top ranking sleep consultant locally.
2 years later that effort had paid off and I was busy busy busy in Houston. But then my husband got a job offer in Dallas. When we moved, I had to refocus my energy on building my clientele locally, while driving back and forth to Houston every other weekend to serve the families who were still finding me there.
After a few months of this, my Dallas market began to grow and I couldn’t handle the constant back and forth between the two cities. And that’s when I hired my first two team members in the Houston area.
It was amazing getting to help even more families, while also helping two women support their own families financially. As time went on, I wanted to serve the entire state of Texas and hired several more consultants to help in the hill country and beyond.
How did you build your audience on social media?
I was slow to get started in social media but learned quickly that it’s vital for a coaching business to be present on social media. And that’s really the key…the show up consistently. When I first started my Facebook and Instagram pages, I would post occasionally and didn’t receive a ton of engagement. But the more Lives I started doing, and the more frequently I posted, the more followers I began to get.
I’ve found that engagement with followers is crucial. When I get new followers, I reach out and personally welcome them to my community with a text or voice message. Polls and questions are also a great way to get engagement and begin dialog with potential clients.
A lot of times, people who are following me have the seed planted in their mind that they need help, but need to build some trust before hopping on a call on getting started.
