We were lucky to catch up with Kajal Kadia recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Kajal , thanks for joining us today. We’d love to go back in time and hear the story of how you came up with the name of your brand?
So My Company’s Name is Noir studio. Its and Interior design firm. Noir Means Black in French. I feel Noir is a great choice for a company name. The color black can indeed convey sophistication, elegance and power, which are all desirable qualities as industries. I feel its great that i came up with a name that not only represents me design style but also resonates my personality.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
About Me : I am a certified Interior designer. I found my passion in interior design since i was a kid. and I pursued it for 7 years now. I am the only one in my family Pursuing something different from family business. And it can be challenging but its important to follow your own interests and passion. My natural talent for design and strong passion are the key ingredients for the success in this industry.
We at Noir provide a full range of interior design solution. We offer services that cover’s everything from Design Ideation to Décor and everything in between. We ensure that our client needs are met at every stage of the design process.
The execution process of the project can be complex and overwhelming especially for clients who may not have experience or knowledge to manage all the different aspects of the project. Therefore, by providing end to end services we are making it easier for our clients to achieve their dream space. We take the burden off their shoulders, freeing up their space and energy to focus on other things. Additionally by managing the project from start to finish we ensure that everything is done in a timely and efficient manner, while maintaining a high quality throughout the process. This helps us built a strong relationship with our client who appreciated our professionalism and dedication to their project.
Thing that we are proud of is serving over 30+ Clients as a startup! and how we have been able to build a solid client base through word-of-mouth marketing. Its a testament to the quality of work and level of customer satisfaction we provide at Noir. We wish to continue serving our clients with same energy and that’s our ultimate goal to expand our reach in the future and achieve global growth.

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
Being active on social media and showcasing your work and process can be an effective way to build your brand and attract potential clients. By engaging with your audience and showing the human side of your business, you can establish a connection with them and make your business more memorable.
In addition, being professional and delivering high-quality work can help you build a positive reputation and increase the likelihood of word-of-mouth referrals. Providing excellent customer service, meeting deadlines, and ensuring client satisfaction can help establish trust and loyalty with your clients. This strategy has worked well for me in growing our clientele.
However, Ultimately, the most effective strategy for growing your clientele will depend on your specific industry, target audience, and business goals. It’s important to experiment with different strategies and analyze your results to determine what works best for your business
We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
Most Important lesson that I had to unlearn was to say “YES” to every project that came my way. Saying yes to every project can lead to spreading yourself too thin. Potentially sacrificing your well being to serve client .Unfortunately, there was a situation where i had to put my own money in order to meet my client needs. This Highlights the importance to recognize that not all clients are a good fit for your business. While it’s important to provide excellent customer service and meet your clients’ needs, it’s also important to set boundaries and prioritize your own well-being.
Learning to say no to clients or to end a project if it’s not working out can be a difficult but important lesson to learn. By doing so, you can avoid wasting your time and resources on a project that won’t be successful or satisfying, and you can focus on finding clients and projects that align better with your business goals and values.
It’s also important to communicate clearly with clients regarding the scope of work, timelines, and expectations. By establishing clear expectations and boundaries from the outset, you can help ensure that both parties are on the same page and that the project is successful.
Overall, it’s important to strike a balance between serving your clients and taking care of your own needs and interests.
