Kaiya, appreciate you joining us today. Being a business owner can be really hard sometimes. It’s rewarding, but most business owners we’ve spoken sometimes think about what it would have been like to have had a regular job instead. Have you ever wondered that yourself? Maybe you can talk to us about a time when you felt this way?

I love being a business owner! I left my corporate job to pursue my dream to become a full time business owner. I hope I dont ever have to go back to a regular job. The last few months have been rough for everyone as far as financies which means slow business. Sometimes its a thought to get a part time job but I thought to myself I can use this extra time to upsale my business to pivot with the economy. Finding something to do to expand to different area of business has made business flow to the point where a part time job doesn’t cross my mind anymore.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

I started my skincare line 2 years ago! I had a cosmetics line that I was also selling sinkcare products with and decided to branch out and create its own line. We have everything from hair oil, shampoo and conditioner, body wash, lotion and more!

My graphic design business came from designing my own lables, website, promo flyers, etc for my own business. I fell in love with it and decided to offer services to help others with their businesses. I’ve created coloring books, illustrated for major brands and so much more! I also offer social media management services!

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?

Facebook groups have been my bread and butter for finding new clients. I add myself to groups of business owners and promote my services to help bring their brand vision to life! I also offer self publishing services to those who want to create passive income! Helping moms, dads, aunts and even kids as young as 2 become authors has been very rewarding!

Have you ever had to pivot?

The pandemic was the biggest pivot of my life. I had to completely change how I did business and items that I sold to fit with the way things were going around us! I pivoted to learning how to sew so I could create masks when the world needed them the most. That change the direction of my business in an amazing way!
