Love Random Life’s roots originated in my college days when I used to recount stories to a friend about the fascinating people I had encountered while exploring San Diego after class. To me, these spontaneous encounters were filled with serendipitous moments and unexpected beauty. My friend found it eccentric, but for me, Love Random Life perfectly encapsulated the joy of embracing life’s unpredictability. Our brand is about cherishing the unscripted moments and finding beauty in life’s unexpected twists. This concept has always been at the core of who I am. During these adventures and random encounters, I not only discovered my love for meeting new people, but also kindled my passion for pearls and art.
These experiences served as the wellspring of inspiration for the creation of our flagship patent-pending jewelry design, Revalia. Revalia’s unique design is exemplified by its two-sided feature, showcasing a heart-shaped mother of pearl with the words ‘Love Random Life’ on one side and a bezel-set mother of pearl on the other. This dual-sided feature empowers the wearer to effortlessly transform Revalia into six distinct pieces of jewelry, including a ring, pendant, and brooch, offering unparalleled versatility. It elegantly blends the timeless allure of pearls with the boundless creativity of art. My name is Kaitlyn Foster, and my journey into the jewelry business was fueled by my deep passion for pearls. It all began when I designed a ring adorned with Sea of Cortez pearls for my college graduation – a turning point in my life. Inspired by this experience, I embarked on a path of continuous learning by enrolling in various courses focused on pearls. To share my love and knowledge of pearls with the world, I even started a podcast Pearl Weekly, that is dedicated exclusively to this enchanting gem.
Through our brand, Love Random Life, we take immense pride in our flagship product, Revalia. This patent-pending jewelry sensation that seamlessly morphs from a stylish ring to a graceful necklace or a stunning brooch, providing an all-in-one solution for your accessory needs. Our product celebrates the timeless beauty of pearl jewelry and the artistry of their design.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.

Certainly, I can share a story from my journey that illustrates my resilience. After being exposed to mold, which led to severe health issues, including a condition called CIRS, it felt as if my life was falling apart. I was used to being independent, but suddenly, I found myself relying on others for my daily and personal needs. During this challenging period, my sister handed me a set of drawing pencils she had picked up one day and said, “I think you should get back to drawing.” Unsure of where to begin, I started by sketching trees, observing their transformation in the ever-changing landscape of Washington state. However, one day inspiration struck, and I began drawing jewelry once more. This was a small but significant step in my recovery.
Instead of resigning myself to bed, defeated by the grief of my life’s abrupt change, I decided to set monthly goals for myself. These goals started off small, and I couldn’t achieve them every month, but they provided me with a sense of purpose and direction. I worked tirelessly towards these objectives, one step at a time.
Looking back on my journey, I realized that I had created a small sample piece of what would later become Revalia, our patent-pending design that combines elegance and adaptability in one exceptional piece. It effortlessly converts from a chic ring into an exquisite necklace or a captivating brooch, catering to your ever-changing style. Those seemingly insignificant steps had added up, marking a turning point in my life. Those small goals had grown into the foundation of Love Random Life, the thriving business it is today.
This journey taught me that resilience doesn’t always involve monumental leaps; it can be found in the courage to take one small step at a time and give yourself permission to rest and pursue your passions. Even in the face of discomfort, mollusks produce a stunning pearl. It’s a lesson I will carry with me as I continue to grow to Love Random Life and face new challenges head-on.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?

One of the most important lessons I’ve had to unlearn and relearn throughout my journey while working on Revalia and growing Love Random Life, is the significance of seeking help and support. Initially, I used to believe that I couldn’t afford to seek help and that I needed to shoulder every aspect of my business alone. However, I eventually let go of that thinking, and it opened up new opportunities. I began reaching out to free organizations, randomly contacting friends and acquaintances, and asking questions that would tap into their knowledge. All these seemingly small actions added up over time.
These individuals, who graciously shared their knowledge and support, played a pivotal role in Love Random Life’s early stages. They believed in the idea and my passion. The key lesson here is that nothing is truly out of reach when you actively work hard, seek help, and diligently pursue your goals and dreams. I’ve come to understand that by building a strong support network and being open to collaboration, I can achieve more than I ever imagined. Every small step I took led to progress, and this journey has reaffirmed my belief that persistence and the willingness to seek assistance are key to achieving success.
