We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Kaitlin Anthony. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Kaitlin below.
Kaitlin, appreciate you joining us today. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
The BEAM Life—Be Everything And More—was born in the middle of my life burning down.
It was November 2019. I was going through a gut-wrenching divorce, co-parenting my 3-year-old daughter, walking away from the gym I co-founded with my ex (which had been my entire identity and community)… and on top of it all, I had just come out about my relationship with my now non-binary partner. It was the kind of moment that could’ve broken me—but instead, it cracked me wide open.
In the chaos, I felt this deep pull to speak up and share what I was learning in real time:
You don’t have to settle. You’re allowed to want more. And it’s not selfish to choose your joy.
At first, Be Everything And More started as a podcast. I’ve always believed that women are allowed to be everything and more—we don’t have to choose one identity, one path, or one version of success. When I told a friend the name, she said, “You know that spells BEAM, right?” and something in me lit up. I was also training for a brutal 50+ mile ultra-marathon at the time, and that grit—that stubborn devotion to not quitting on myself—carried into the brand. I refused to be a victim of my circumstances. I was rebuilding, and this time, I was doing it on my terms.
Then people started listening. Like, really listening. They’d DM me saying they shared an episode with a friend. They’d ask if I coached. And suddenly, I realized this was bigger than me. This was a movement.
What makes BEAM different is that it’s built on real life experience and professional training. I’m ICF-certified, yes—but I’m also a mom, a former gym owner, a queer woman, a runner, a coach who’s had to walk through fire. My clients don’t just get strategy—they get someone who’s lived it. And the more I leaned into both my masculine drive and feminine flow, the more aligned this whole thing became.
But what’s most exciting? Watching a community of women rise who now know what it means to live the BEAM Life.
They’re redefining success. They’re saying yes to themselves. They’re doing life and business in a way that’s bold, honest, and whole. And I get to be part of that? What an honor.
Kaitlin, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I’m Kaitlin Anthony—certified life and business coach, podcast host, speaker, retreat leader, and founder of The BEAM Life, where I help women reclaim their identity, energy, and voice so they can create lives and businesses that feel fully aligned, not just “successful.”
My journey here wasn’t linear. I started as a celebrity fashion stylist in NYC, then moved to LA and co-founded a gym with my ex-husband. I was checking the boxes of what success should look like, but I felt completely out of alignment. In 2019, everything shifted. I got divorced, came out about my queer identity, became a solo mom, and left the gym behind. It was a full life reset—and it lit a fire in me to create something that could support other women doing the same.
That’s when The BEAM Life was born. BEAM stands for Be Everything And More, because I believe women deserve to want more without shame. More freedom. More joy. More truth. More them. I started with a podcast and quickly realized I wasn’t alone—other women were craving that same sense of expansion, without burnout or performative hustle. So I built the thing I wish I had when I was in the thick of it.
Today, I support women through:
1:1 Coaching Intensives
Group Programs
The BEAM Life Membership
Retreats & Workshops
And my newest offer: BE EVERYTHING AND MORE LIVE—my first in-person event designed to feel like a cross between a personal growth party, live podcast, and unforgettable girls’ night out.
The women I work with are high-achieving, multi-layered, often juggling motherhood, relationships, business, and everything in between. They come to me when they’re stuck between who they’ve been and who they know they’re meant to be. I help them bridge that gap—without the burnout, without the self-abandonment, and without following a one-size-fits-all blueprint.
What sets me apart? I bring both professional credibility (I’m ICF-certified and trained in trauma-informed coaching) and lived experience. I’m not coaching from a mountaintop—I’m walking this path, too. I’ve rebuilt my life from scratch, and I’ve helped hundreds of women do the same with more ease, energy, and confidence than they thought possible.
What I’m most proud of is the community that’s grown around this work. Women who are no longer afraid to be seen. Women who are building businesses, redefining relationships, finding their voices again, and finally feeling like themselves. This isn’t just coaching—it’s a revolution.
How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
The biggest pivot of my life started with a breakdown—followed by the bravest decision I’ve ever made.
Back in 2019, I was a gym owner in LA, a mom to a 3-year-old, and on the outside, it looked like I had “made it.” But inside? I felt completely disconnected from who I was. My marriage was unraveling. I knew I wasn’t living in alignment with my truth. And the version of “success” I had worked so hard to build no longer fit the woman I was becoming.
So I did the thing most people are terrified to do:
I walked away—from my business, my marriage, and the life I had built up to that point.
That was the pivot. I started over. I came out publicly about my queer identity. I had no idea what would come next, but I knew I couldn’t keep living a life that wasn’t fully mine.
That choice led me to create The BEAM Life—my coaching brand and podcast built on the belief that women are allowed to want more, change their minds, and build something beautiful from scratch. I turned my pain into purpose, and what started as a podcast recorded in my closet has grown into a full-blown movement: a global community, retreats, group coaching programs, and now, my first-ever live event happening this year.
That pivot cracked me open. It taught me how resilient, resourceful, and powerful I am. And now? I help other women do the same—not by burning it all down, but by choosing themselves in the small and big ways, every damn day.
What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
One of the biggest lessons I had to unlearn was this: success is not just about how much money you make.
For most of my life, I tied my worth to my work—and my work to the number in my bank account. If I was making money, I felt powerful. If I wasn’t, I felt like a failure. The problem? I didn’t actually know how to have money. I could generate it, sure. But I didn’t know how to hold it, manage it, or honor it.
I spent years ignoring what I didn’t understand.
I maxed out credit cards trying to “look successful.”
I avoided checking my bank account because the anxiety felt crushing.
I didn’t learn about credit, interest, or financial boundaries until the damage was already done.
And if I’m being honest? I thought if I just worked harder, the money stuff would fix itself.
Spoiler alert: it didn’t.
What I’ve learned is that money isn’t the measure of success—it’s a mirror. It reflects your relationship with self-worth, boundaries, and long-term vision. I had to unlearn hustle culture and the fantasy of overnight abundance. I had to get really intimate with my numbers. I had to forgive myself for past decisions. I had to rebuild trust—with money and with myself.
Now, I teach my clients that success is about alignment, sustainability, and feeling safe in your body and bank account. I still love big goals and income wins—but they don’t define me anymore. My peace does. My freedom does. The fact that I can buy groceries without spiraling does.
Money gets to be a tool for expansion, not a source of shame.
But first, you have to stop pretending you’ve got it all figured out—and get radically honest about what you still need to learn.
