We recently connected with Kailee and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Kailee thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. How did you scale up? What were the strategies, tactics, meaningful moments, twists/turns, obstacles, mistakes along the way? We’d love to hear the backstory the illustrates how you grew your brand.
I’ve been in business for 5 years now, and it’s taken me this long to feel truly aligned in what I’m offering. When I first started, I was charging $850 or less for full brand and website packages, not because my work wasn’t valuable, but because I didn’t yet have the clarity or confidence to fully own my expertise.
Scaling up has been a journey of mindset, refinement, and strategy. I invested in myself through business education, coaches, programs, elevating my design style and a whole lot of personal development so I could learn how to position what I offer in a way that reflects its true value. I also got super clear on who I’m meant to help: passionate small business owners who are ready to evolve, grow, and take their business to the next level.
One of the biggest shifts came when I made the intentional decision to take on a part-time role as a graphic designer with a company. Having that consistent financial support gave me the space to stop chasing every lead and instead focus on refining how I wanted to build my business, from the services I offered to the type of clients I wanted to work with. It gave me permission to slow down, get intentional, and create a sustainable foundation that aligned with my long-term vision.
Over time, I developed signature processes, elevated my client experience, and leaned into strategy just as much as design. That shift allowed me to go from charging under $1,000 to now booking $5,000+ brand and website packages and even larger projects that combine ongoing strategy, content, and design. All of this is helping my clients grow their businesses to their full potential.
But more than the pricing or processes, it’s been about alignment. I now attract clients who trust my knowledge, process, value collaboration, and are excited to invest in their growth. That, to me, is the most powerful kind of scaling in business.

Kailee, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Well first, hi and hello! I’m Kailee, the founder and Creative Lead of Eclectic Designs .CO, where intentional design meets empowering strategy. I’m a brand and website designer with almost a decade of experience, and I specialize in helping small business owners who are ready to step into their highest business potential. I work with passionate entrepreneurs to create aligned, strategic brands and websites that not only look beautiful but also convert and support their long-term goals.
My path into this work wasn’t linear. I originally went to college for Architectural Engineering, but after getting extremely sick with an autoimmune disease, I had to pause and rethink everything. That time of healing gave me space to realign. I eventually found my way into graphic and web design and knew almost instantly it was where I was meant to be. I’ve always had a deep love for creativity, and this path allowed me to pair that with strategy, purpose, and connection. In 2020, I officially launched Eclectic Designs .CO with a mission to build bold, honest, and transformative brand identities for people who are ready to be seen.
Eclectic Designs .CO offers a range of services including brand identity design, Wix website design, brand and website strategy sessions, design retainers, and coming soon: a customizable templates for entrepreneurs in the earlier stages of business. I also offer a high-touch Brand Expansion Package, a 6-month partnership that focuses on long-term design, marketing, and business support.
The heart of what I do is rooted in helping business owners feel confident, aligned, and empowered. So many clients come to me feeling like their business visuals no longer reflect the quality of their work or who they’ve grown into. I bridge that gap by creating systems, visuals, and messaging that speak directly to their dream clients, helping them not only show up, but stand out.
What sets Eclectic Designs .CO apart is my holistic approach. I don’t just create for where you are, I create for where you’re going in an aligned way. Every piece of your brand and website is rooted in intentionality, strategy, and alignment. I also lead with warmth, curiosity, and collaboration. Clients often tell me they feel truly seen and supported throughout our work together, which is something I’m deeply proud of.
More than anything, I want potential clients and followers to know that this work goes far beyond visuals. When you invest in your brand, you’re investing in the future of your business. And you deserve a creative partner who sees the full picture. Whether you’re just starting out or ready to elevate your business to its fullest expression, Eclectic Designs .CO is here to guide you with clarity, strategy, and style.
In addition to design, I co-host the Branded & Booked podcast with Tina Floersch from VISUALFLO, a space where business owners can explore the deeper side of business. Through real, honest conversations, we talk about everything from branding and strategy to mindset, growth, and navigating the ever-evolving world of entrepreneurship. It’s become a community-driven passion project that allows me to share valuable insights, connect with other experts, and empower listeners to feel more aligned and intentional in how they show up both personally and professionally.

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
For me, the best source of new clients has been a mix of intentional relationship building and aligned visibility. Referrals from past clients, who felt truly supported and seen, have brought in some of the most aligned leads. I’ve also had the honor of growing alongside clients into new stages of their life and business. Many of my bigger projects come from returning clients, and it means so much that they trust me not just once, but again as they evolve.
I’m an extrovert at heart, and connecting with others comes naturally. I’ve found that some of the best opportunities come from simply starting a conversation. A few clients have also come from social media, especially when I’m intentional about showing up in the DMs and building relationships. I lead with curiosity over sales, always wanting potential clients to feel like our partnership is organic and collaborative, not forced.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The most rewarding part is seeing the transformation, not just in the brand or website, but in the confidence of the person behind the business. It’s witnessing the moment a client feels like their external presence finally mirrors their internal vision.
As a creative, I get to blend strategy with storytelling and visuals with energy. That balance makes the work feel truly alive. Every project becomes a collaborative journey, and I’m deeply grateful to be a part of helping others step into the next version of themselves and their business.
When just one person starts to embody their mission with confidence, it creates space for those around them to do the same. That’s the ripple effect I love most, helping people build brands that inspire change in their communities.
