Today we’d like to introduce you to Kai Storm.

Hi Kai, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Kai Storm in 2024 is a bigger brand than when I was first published back in 2011 but the best way to break it down is to list all the titles: Author of 5 books, one of which I recently revised called That One Voice Revised Edition, erotica Blogger for Vocal Media and last but not least, the Marketing Director/Editor/Co-host of Motherhood Sex Marijuana The Podcast. I have my own YouTube channel where I post videos about My Unpopular Opinions and that has gained me 968 subscribers. Slow steps are still steps towards the journey and thank God, I’m still going up! Handling the brand of Kai Storm definitely covers a lot but I only take on what I can handle. My creative side is my relaxed side so when I’m working on these projects, it doesn’t come off as work and everything I do in my creative cypher, I believe in big time!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not been an easy road but who wants it to be easy? The more work you put into your dreams, the better they are when things finally happen! As an author, I was first signed to a company that had intentions of stealing my book and thank goodness for the fact that the contract expired, therefore I wasn’t stuck with them. I then found a reputable all women publishing company who believed in my work and published it within 6 months of me signing a contract with them. Over the years, I met a lot of authors who advised me on the publishing game based on what they’ve learned and went through.

When Ruby Doll and I started the podcast, there were a group of ladies who wanted to work with us but when it was time to actually put in work, none of them stayed around to do it. At the end of the day, the ones who really wanted it/believed in it were there to get it done. On every level of creativity, I’ve learned that if you really want it, you’ll be willing to drive through the rocky road to get it.

I’m an Author, Blogger, Podcaster, Marketing Director, Video Editor, Co-Host and seller of Motherhood Sex Marijuana Rolling Papers! The main thing that makes me proud is my books and the fact that I’ve gotten them into a couple of libraries across the US! For me, my published babies are my forever representatives aka something I have created will live past me.

Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
I watch a lot of YouTube not only for entertainment purposes but also to take pointers from others who have larger platforms as I one day aspire to have a large following on YouTube.
