Kaheem, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?

I took a risk by starting my YouTube channel without having a direct path of what to do and how to do it. I started off my channel by doing videos with my aunt who has always supported me throughout my journey , I always know that I had a passion for traveling and I wanted to push my channel and have that niche how ever I did not know how to go about it. one day my mother and I was talking and I decided to call a resort and ask them for a collaboration, luckily I got the collaboration at the same time that I asked I had no prior equipment more than a phone and I went and I did the hotel review that was a risk that I took and over the years I’m proud to see what I have accomplished and will accomplish in the future, the first review I did I lost all footage after videoing it and I remember how hurt I was but nevertheless the next morning I got up and I did all my videoing over again. I am proud to say that by taking this risk today I run my own travel agency and I do content creation as a form of work.

Kaheem, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

I got into this industry by reaching out to different hotels, resorts, attractions and asking them for a collaboration at the same time I always had the support of my mother, aunt and other family members and friends who always encourage me to never give up even when I didn’t feel confident. when in the travel industry you have to prepare for things such as flight delays, brands no longer interested in collaborations, loosing footage and alot more however you have to learn to adjust to these things and have a positive look on these things instead of a negative look. I am proud of how far I have come in this industry and what I have achieved and how far I will continue to go in this industry. I want persons to know that no matter what believe in yourself and you will achieve it. I have built Kaheem travel mainly around solo traveling because I am aware that a lot of persons are afraid to solo travel so I want to show them that it is ok and life is there to live, don’t just live in fear.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?

One of the most rewarding aspects is when I go somewhere and persons recognize me and say that they love my videos and they love how I keep my reviews honest and how I give and detail review and when persons comment on my post saying that because of my videos I helped them in order to enjoy their vacation.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?

The drive behind my creative journey I would have to say is confidence and the love and support that I have from persons around the world. my mission is to grow my followers and grow my brand to help people who have always wanted to travel to see the world and for them to have a view of where they can stay.
