I am dedicated to creating a lasting legacy centered around altruism, community support, and instilling hope. Recognizing prospective graduate students’ financial challenges, particularly as an international student, I have established my social media platform to help out. This platform is a comprehensive resource for sharing updates on various funding opportunities available to graduate students, aiming to alleviate the financial burdens associated with advanced education. Having personally experienced the pivotal role of scholarships in pursuing higher education, I am committed to providing valuable information to empower aspiring scholars on their academic journey. My goal is to contribute to the success of fellow graduate students by offering guidance on financial resources, ultimately making education more accessible.

In addition to supporting education, I am passionate about raising awareness about cancer. Through my platform, I seek to educate and inform the community about the diverse types of cancer, shedding light on the complexities of the disease. By fostering understanding, I aim to contribute to early detection, prevention, and compassionate support for cancer patients. Ultimately, I aspire to be remembered for my unwavering commitment to helping others by disseminating impactful and beneficial information. I am Kafayat, an international student pursuing my Ph.D. in Cancer Biology in the United States. Beyond my academic pursuits, I decided to venture into a space where I can make a meaningful impact on the lives of others. This journey led me to create @stayinformedwithkaffy on Instagram, a platform dedicated to sharing crucial scholarship and funding information for prospective international students aspiring to pursue their graduate studies abroad. As an international student, I intimately understand the challenges and uncertainties of navigating the complex landscape of scholarship opportunities. Through my Instagram page, I aim to empower students by providing valuable information, making pursuing a quality education abroad more accessible. In addition to my role in education advocacy, I am actively engaged in cancer research as part of my Ph.D. studies. This dual perspective has inspired the multifaceted nature of my platform. Not only do I share insights into the world of scholarships, but I also raise awareness about cancer—a cause close to my heart. Having witnessed the pain and challenges that accompany a cancer diagnosis, I believe in the power of informed decisions and the impact they can have on individuals and their loved ones.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?

When I started my page, uncertainty loomed over how to commence and attract followers. Though armed with a vision, the path forward was unclear. My journey began with creating my website, stayinformedwithkaffy.com, complemented by the Instagram page @stayinformedwithkaffy. Both platforms experienced a gradual start, marked by a meager number of site visits, and the first three months proved challenging, lacking a substantial following. Despite the initial hurdles, I persevered—consistently posting information, sharing content, and nurturing the hope that it would resonate with someone and then another. The initial lack of significant traction did not diminish my determination. It was a period of planting seeds and patiently awaiting their growth.

While I may not have reached the pinnacle of my aspirations, there has been undeniable progress from those early days. The journey has been a testament to my resilience, demonstrating my persistence and consistency over time.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?

A paramount goal that propels my creative journey is the earnest desire to assist fellow students, especially those navigating the challenges of international education. This mission revolves around fostering awareness of available scholarships and providing invaluable tips for successful graduate school applications.

Another important driver in my creative journey is the commitment to disseminate information about cancer. Beyond the immediate impact, my aspiration extends to a lasting legacy wherein shared information transcends my temporal presence. It is a sincere hope that the insights and awareness imparted will continue to be a beacon of support and guidance for individuals facing the complexities of cancer.
