We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Kaelin Bass a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Kaelin , appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to hear about a time you helped a customer really get an amazing result through their work with you.

During Essence Fest of 2023,

We had a customer approach us with breast cancer. Asking if Kmboobies could assist. She spoke about being insecure and the challenges she faced while have one breast remove and the other still present.

Even though we were not taping people on site, I took her to the back and was able to lift her boob entirely so that she could feel a sense of normalcy.

This made the customer cry. That a solution like this was available to her the entire time and she didn’t even know.

This is truly what we are in business for. To boost confidence and eliminate insecurities.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?

Balancing working on your business (strategic planning, vision-setting, and growth strategies) and working in your business (day-to-day operations, tasks, and execution) is crucial for sustainable success as a CEO. While it’s tempting to handle everything yourself, recognizing that you can’t do it all is key.

As a CEO, focusing solely on working in your business can lead to burnout and hinder long-term growth. It’s essential to delegate tasks, empower your team, and trust their capabilities. This allows you to focus on strategic initiatives that drive the company forward.

Working on your business involves setting clear goals, developing systems and processes, and staying ahead of industry trends. It requires stepping back to assess the bigger picture and making decisions that align with your vision.

Finding the balance between the two is a continual process of prioritization and delegation. Remember, as a CEO, your role is to lead and steer the ship, not to do everything yourself. Trusting your team and focusing on strategic priorities will ultimately lead to greater success and sustainability for your business.

Can you share one of your favorite marketing or sales stories?

Picture this: It’s Mardi Gras in New Orleans, and KmBoobies is ready to make a splash. We decided to do something bold and fun, so we loaded up our float with over 500 boob tape samples and hit the streets.

As we cruised through the vibrant parade route, we started tossing out samples to the cheering crowds below. The energy was electric, and people were thrilled to catch a glimpse of our colorful packaging flying through the air.

Little did we know, our playful gesture would go viral! Videos and photos of the spectacle spread like wildfire on social media, capturing the excitement and joy of the moment. It was incredible to see the positive response from people all over the world, who appreciated our lighthearted approach to celebrating body positivity and empowerment.

The experience was a testament to the power of creativity and fun in connecting with our audience. It reinforced our commitment to spreading confidence and happiness wherever we go, whether it’s on the streets of New Orleans or beyond. And hey, who knew throwing boob tape samples could be such a hit? It’s just another example of how KmBoobies is always ready to shake things up and make a memorable impression!
