We were lucky to catch up with Kady Kearns recently and have shared our conversation below.

At Pacific Elite Nannies, Kady’s mission is to empower families and nannies to build successful, fulfilling relationships. Kady, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
She was born and raised in Sacramento, California and has been in the nanny industry for over two decades. She comes from a large family and grew up with over 100 foster children. Through this, she’s had personal experience with many backgrounds, including children with special needs, PTSD, ADHD, arthritis, hearing impairment and cerebral palsy, among others.
As a former career nanny in Chicago, Texas, California and even an au-pair in Australia, Kady knows the ins, outs, and in-betweens of the nanny industry. She is an advocate of both nannies and families alike and is happy when she can help facilitate both to achieve a successful, happy relationship. This is why she established Pacific Elite Nannies in 2016 and has quickly become one of the top agencies in Southern California.
Kady is a world traveler and has taught English abroad in Thailand, Malaysia and online to students in China. As a result, she has encountered many techniques and methods for raising children in a loving and stimulating environment. Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
As a former career nanny and seasoned traveler, I have had plenty of experience adapting to new environments and facing unexpected challenges. However, one particularly difficult experience stands out as a testament to my resilience and determination.
During my time as an au pair in Australia, I found yourself facing a major hurdle: my host family my host family and I decided it wasn’t a right fit and I decided to leave the job for multiple reasons. Hey, it happens. I was left in a foreign country with limited resources and no immediate job prospects. Instead of giving up and returning home, I decided to stay in Australia and use the setback as an opportunity to grow and learn.
I began networking and making connections wherever I could. I also took advantage of my downtime to explore the country and immerse myself in the local culture. Despite the challenges I faced, I remained positive, proactive, and determined to succeed.
Eventually, my persistence paid off. I was able to continue my journey with renewed energy and enthusiasm. The experience taught me the value of resilience, adaptability, and perseverance – qualities that have undoubtedly helped you build my successful nanny agency today.
