We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Kadie Lynn. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Kadie below.
Hi Kadie, thanks for joining us today. What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?
We just released and EP called Unchained that my band and I are very proud of. I have been trying hard over the years to find my sound and to be the person I want to be and I feel like we did a great job of capturing that. We have wanted to release something for a while now and we finally made up our minds on three songs. I’m very happy with the choices we made, and this is definitely what I am most proud of as far as my career goes.
Kadie, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I have been singing just about as long as I could talk. I started playing guitar when I was seven. I started out doing country and that’s what everyone has known me for. I’ve never really liked country its just what I was introduced to and what everyone else was singing so it seemed like a good choice. Now that I’m older, I of course have grown into myself and I am definitely a rocker at heart. I know a lot of people don’t necessarily like the change, but I am very happy to be confident in myself and to be the person that I have grown into.
Is there mission driving your creative journey?
I want to get my name out there as a rock artist. I was on TV in front of millions of people, which is awesome, but I was doing country. I want to show everyone who Kadie Lynn really is.
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
The most rewarding thing about being an artist is definitely seeing people enjoy your songs. For me, nothing beats looking out in the audience and seeing people singing and dancing to a song that I wrote.
