Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Kacy Harnedy . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Kacy , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Naming anything – including a business – is so hard. Right? What’s the story behind how you came up with the name of your brand?
I came up with Kacy’s Sacred Space because I wanted a platform where I could incorporate my yogic teachings and events alongside my clinical herbalism. All of my positions have the main goal of creating safe spaces that are individually sacred to the individual.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
I have been a yoga teacher for nine years and have been running yoga retreats for seven. For over ten years I have also been dabbling in herbs for personal well-being. I finally trained in my apprenticeship and clinical so I could help others heal with plant medicine. The amazing thing is when we have a calm system plants can work their magic. And that is where I come in. I incorporate yoga, meditation and plants for whole being Wellness.
Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
On a retreat I led I had a client who created a lot of turmoil. It put my management skills to the test as well as tested my will, my why and my ego. After deliberation and for the sake of keeping the space on that retreat safe, I had to ask this person to leave. That was hard.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
I was teaching 17 classes per week throughout Maine, NH and Massachusetts and would bring a journal everywhere. I’d ask clients to sign up with their email for my website. It took one email at a time to build my base and eventually turn that to social media!
