Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Kacie Fournier. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Kacie, appreciate you joining us today. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
Reflecting back on whathas already been a remarkable career, I can’t help but feel immense joy and awe at the journey it’s been. Were it all started to where it is today has grown and changed so much yet What will always remain the same is my drive to offer a safe space for my guests with the same quality and value I have always offered.
The growth and success I chave achieved is truly beyond what I could of dreamed of, and I know that is greatly due to the support from my family, friends, and community.
I began my journey in this industry by offering services in hair and nails, but soon realized that something was missing. It was my innate sensitivity to people’s energies and my empathic side that guided me towards researching energy work.
By exploring this path, | discovered the transformative power of Reiki. I embraced the practice, becoming certified, and eventually ascended to the level of a Reiki Master, acquiring other certifications in energy work along the way.
This newfound knowledge opened doors to a plethora of possibilities that led to my current position as the founder of Sisco Salon and Spa as well as Sisco Sanctuary, providing me with the ability to offer even more services to my guests.
Kacie, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
As you know my name is Kacie. I am a wife and stepmother of three amazing kids, all boys. We live in a amazing small-town community that comes together and offers wonderful, one-of-a-kind support. I couldn’t imagine putting my roots down anywhere else.
As I mentioned before, my career as evolved and changed as I have and it’s been an amazing adventure that I feel incredibly blessed to be on.
From a stylist and nail technician just starting out to now, a successful life and spiritual coach. I have been honored to provide guidance, support, and empowerment to individuals seeking personal and spiritual growth. My career now revolves around assisting people in finding their purpose, navigating life’s challenges, and deepening their spiritual connection.
We offer services in group settings and on an individual basis, tailoring my approach to meet each guest’s unique needs and goals. I create a safe and judgement free environment where guests can explore their thoughts, feelings, and beliefs.
My deep understanding of spiritual principles, combined with my empathic nature, allows me to guide my guests through self-reflection and self-discovery, enabling them to make lasting positive changes in their lives. While my team and I still offer services in hair and nails we love that we bring not only beauty to your world but a lot of balance too.
What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
One lesson I had to unlearn was the belief that success is solely determined by external achievements and societal expectations. Societal conditioning and cultural influences deeply ingrain this belief suptem into us from a young age.
Growing up we are constantly surrounded by messages that equat success with certain external markers, such as academic performance, prestigious career choices, material possessions, good looks, and social status. As a result, we internalize the belief that our worth and happiness are dependent on achieving these external measures of success.
Chaising only these goals alone, whether you achieve them or not, will leave you with a feeling of emptiness and dissatisfaction. When you question your belief systems and find the root of why you believe them, it helps you to make the choice of whether you want to continue with that belief system or create your own.
When I began to unlearn this belief, I discovered that my true fulfillment comes from within and is subject to change as I do. That my self-care is not selfish but necessary, and I learned to define my success on my own terms, based on my values, personal growth, and the positive impact I can make on others around the world.
This process is not easy, as it required challenging deeply ingrained beliefs and stepping out of my comfort zone. It also involved letting go of external validation and embracing the uncertainty that comes with forging my own path. And if I’m being honest, it’s a lesson I’ve had to learn several times and I’m sure I will again many times. However, the journey has been incredibly liberating, empowering me to live a more authentic, purpose-driven life and find a genuine sense of fulfillment that extends beyond what I once thought, and I’m blessed t. . o have learned that I needed to unlearn that lesson.
Have any books or other resources had a big impact on you?
At any given time I have anywhere from two to four books going at a time. At least one I’m reading a physical copy and one will be an audio version. I’ve also been known to read a book I’ve already listened to or vice versa. Mostly personal growth books or something business related that is going to advance my career.
But if I had to pick one that has significantly impacted my life, it would have to be the book by Don Miguel Ruiz, “The Four Agreements”. It has had a profound impact on my life and career for several reasons. This insightful and transformative book provides practical guidance on how to attain personal freedom, happiness, and success by adopting four essential agreements.
This book has impacted my life and career by fostering self-awareness, challenging limiting beliefs, promoting mindful communication, encouraging personal integrity, and cultivating emotional resilience.
By incorporating these agreements into my life, I have experienced personal growth, improved relationships, and enhanced my professional success by incorporating these into my coaching and classes.
The wisdom I have gained from this book and many others have continued to guide and inspire me on my journey towards a fulfilling and meaningful life and career.
