We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Kaci Goff. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Kaci below.
Kaci, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What sort of legacy are you hoping to build. What do you think people will say about you after you are gone, what do you hope to be remembered for?
I hope I am remembered for my kindness through the times I may fall short and disappoint people.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I have been in the hospitality industry for thirteen years. I started a supper club six years ago under the name Wolf and Woman which is now my house made masala line. I make about seven South Indian inspired masalas. The supper club has rebranded into White Elephant, which is a third culture interpretation of Malaysian-Tamilian heritage cuisine while utilizing regionally sourced ingredients. My career started in Temecula Wine Country as a line cook and has spanned over Los Angeles, Seattle, San Diego and I spent the last year in Austin. I am currently back in Southern California and have some special things planned for 2024. I am honored and proud to showcase my craft and tell my story through my food and the resilience of being a woman of color in an industry that is very unwelcoming never ceases to amaze me and keep me grounded on how far I have come.

Do you have any insights you can share related to maintaining high team morale?
Leading with integrity and truly caring for the people that help your vision come to life is vital and important. This industry runs rampant with abuse and discrimination and media and PR companies do a good job at keeping things from the public eye.

What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
Collaborations with other talented people and organizations is a good way to share your work with new people.
