Kabir, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Can you talk to us about a project that’s meant a lot to you?
One of the most meaningful projects I have worked on is actually my most recent project which is titled, Divine Beings. The backstory behind that project is that I created it at a time when I was dealing with a lot of self-doubt. I was doubting myself, my ability, my mind. Comparison is the thief of joy or what do they even say. I was consuming a lot of stuff on social media, sometimes you see some pictures and you’re just like how did they even do that. “Divine Beings” came to me. It was literally an image in my mind, I saw it and I wanted to bring it to life. I did 3 test shoots, I did my research, lighting, background, I was on a mission. I had to bring this to life. I had to prove to myself that I could do this, I knew I could, I just had to do it, and I did. The whole experience was very fulfilling. Shoutout to Sandra for trusting and believing in the vision, shoutout to Tobi for helping out. It’s so important having the right people around. This project is meaningful to me because it made me realize I can do anything in this world. I can create whatever reality I want with my work. I realized my superpower.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
This started as a hobby. Then I started realizing how far I can go with this and my dream just keeps getting bigger and bigger. I provide creative, unique, high quality images for my clients. Whether it’s album covers, roll-outs, campaigns, I bring my style and quality to the table. I don’t think it’s really problem-solving but one of the things I do for my clients is bringing their vision to life. It’s not easy, to create. I guess because of how saturated the internet is, with so many creatives that might make it seem like it’s so easy. It can actually be very complicated sometimes. That is sets my brand apart from others. My potential clients should know their vision will be brought to life, without a doubt.
What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
Returning back home, I want to go back home. That is one of the missions driving my creative journey. I would love the privilege of not having to live in America. It’s great place to live, great opportunities and all that. Nigeria though, it’s just different even the lifestyle. So yes, I am working hard towards being comfortable enough to live in Nigeria. Being here in America is simply to lay the foundations required to reach heights where I want to reach. My dream is to build connections all around the world, Lagos, New York, London, LA, and so on. Build meaningful connections that can help me change and influence the world. So if you’re reading this and you’re down, wherever in the world you’re in, let’s do it.

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
Word of mouth, recommendations. I just mentioned it earlier, “building meaningful connections”. It is so important in my field. You honestly never know who will put you on ton your next gig, to that life-changing opportunity. That’s why it’s so important to be yourself and be good to people, leave a great impression. People will always help and remember you. Also talking to people is important, I have found new clients just from having random conversations with complete strangers. Closed mouths don’t get fed, speak up. Unless you no wan chop.
