We were lucky to catch up with K-Major recently and have shared our conversation below.
K-Major, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Who is your hero and why? What lessons have you learned from them and how have they influenced your journey?
If I were to name my Hero’s it would have to be my family! My MOM & DAD. My Grandparents. My Siblings. Im the youngest in a family of 5. My mom & dad raised me to be a stand up guy. They taught me hard work gets you what you want, just all around character! My grandparents taught them and continued to feed the family spirituality and persistence. My family came from nothing just a small town called Cartersville, Georgia. Thru my grandparents spirit and my parent’s dedication we were able to travel the world, stay healthy, and prosper each in our individual journeys. My Dad is a retired Military Vet & War Hero. He spent over 40 years in the Air Force fighting for his country and his families freedom. My Mom is retired Banker who never went to college but ended her career as a Vice President of a Bank. My brother is current CPA and owns multiple businesses. My sister owns her own Non-Profit and partnered with the Mayor’s office in her city to help women who have been incarcerated get back on their feet. Our family is very special and without FAMILY I wouldn’t be the man I am today. We have struggled together, prospered together, and still we managed to keep the love within it all. My Heros!

K-Major, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I am the CEO of 3MG Entertainment LLC. I established the business in 2009. I am an artist/songwriter/producer/engineer/graphic designer/video editor. Basically, I do it all. Im from a small town called Cartersville, Georgia. Growing up we had no connection to the music industry and threw the last decade I’ve managed to sell over 6 million records in music. I’ve produced and written for artist such as Jacquees, Usher, Future, Chris Brown, Summer Walker, MoneyBagg Yo, and many more. I am currently still prominent in the music industry and I’m always collaborating and finding new ways to grow! I learned a lot over the years but the one thing that has carried me this far is consistency. I try to master every aspect of what I do so that my quality is always recognized. Then I make sure I can do it consistently. I think thats what separates me from others, I know how to do everybody’s job as if it were my own. Im most proud of my ability to be a chameleon. I learn from everyone around me and learned early that collaboration is key.
Can you talk to us about how your side-hustle turned into something more.
Yes! I started my journey as an artist only but along the way I realized I needed beats so i started making my own. I also, wrote all my own songs. As a side-hustle i would sell my songs/beats to other artist for quick money. This became something that branded me and soon the world was asking for the same service, but this time at a higher price. Over time, my side-hustle became the thing that got me in the door in the music industry. Im more known now as a songwriter/producer than an artist. Im currently trying to change that narrative.

Can you share your view on NFTs? (Note: this is for education/entertainment purposes only, readers should not construe this as advice)
I love NFTs! I don’t know everything about them that I should, but I love the concept and I’m open to learning more.
