We were lucky to catch up with K Ferguson recently and have shared our conversation below.
K, appreciate you joining us today. How did you learn to do what you do? Knowing what you know now, what could you have done to speed up your learning process? What skills do you think were most essential? What obstacles stood in the way of learning more?
Outside of being classically trained I learned a lot from YouTube and Immersing my self In the art. The only thing that would of sped up the process was outside help. The most essential skills I’ve learned would have to being able to engineer yourself.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
For those who don’t know I’m an artist/producer. I got Into the music industry in college by getting invited to perform at a couple shows off some mixtapes that I released at the time. I outside of commercial music I also make music for sync licensing and produce beats for artist and tv. I’m unique in all assets of my art I provide a creative twist to very simple ideas that amplify the message and meaning. I am most proud of my accomplishments because they remind me of the progress I’ve made throughout my journey. I want my fans or supporters I should to know I’m thankful for them being here every step

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
Most rewarding aspect is people you never spoken to being able to relate and gain something from listening to your music.
What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
At first it was pure dedication that keep me going. After I lost a close friends in a car accident that’s what pushes me to keep going everyday. He was a big positive force in my life and I feel like I owe it to him.
