Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to K. C. (Zingmaster Flex) Pomponio. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
K. C. (Zingmaster Flex) , appreciate you joining us today. When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?
I can remember at age sixteen, I had just got my first car and was living it up. I started driving to the end of 29th where there’s just a water tower and an open field with a view of the entire city of Loveland. I would bring my music and my MJ and just study music for hours. I started to write and fantasize about one day, other teenagers listening to my music in their cars.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
I started recording in a public Library, eventually going on to perform at several large venues across the united states. I’ve been homeless longer than 3 years now, and it’s really been a challenge to stay focused and gather inspiration for my projects from all of my street experience. I’ve done some promoting through my social media accounts, and have even advertised my products downtown and on Venice beach in California!
What sets me apart from other artists and authors is my ability to mix playful and party styles with serious and socially conscious styles. My appearance and presentation is also rumored to be very iconic and impactful. More importantly, I’ve left a legacy for my friends through my everyday , radical actions and words.
My music can be found on SoundCloud and YouTube by searching “Zingmaster Flex” and my books can be found by searching “K.C. Pomponio” on Amazon.
My clothing line is still in progress as I am piecing together logistics and inventory options.
Do you think there is something that non-creatives might struggle to understand about your journey as a creative? Maybe you can shed some light?
Yes, well, a few things come to mind, but I think what non-creatives fail to understand about artists and visionaries is that most of us are simply trying to spread positive vibes and motivation. The easy assumption is that artists are selfish and only intend to make a profit out of people, but any great aspiring entertainer knows that before one gains great success, one must authentically inspire success in others.
What can society do to ensure an environment that’s helpful to artists and creatives?
Society is what it is, however, drawing from some excellent predictions I read in a Celestial Prophecy book, society is said to be moving towards a place where people thrive and make a living based on their ability to uplift and enlighten others with their creative content and in-person explanations.
So ideally, a society that evolves and becomes more synergistic is one that values sound advice from people who embody positive intentions and self-actualization.
