We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Jzon Azari. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Jzon below.
Jzon, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Do you think your parents have had a meaningful impact on you and your journey?
My parents (oh my parents). They let me be a kid at heart. They didn’t force me to be anything or do anything that I didn’t choose of my own well being. I didn’t know what type of luxury that was at the time however as I grow older and wiser… it truly is something that I appreciate more than the world will ever know. From my many hobbies to career paths that have gone from stage hand, personal assistant to creative writer, social media manager, journalist and currently publicist… they accepted my journey and didn’t try to stray me from it once. Just ensured that whatever I wanted to do… I could. I wish more parents could provide their children that but I understand it isn’t possible for many.

Jzon, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
The love of writing and telling other’s stories started over a decade ago as I was exiting college. I didn’t have quite a “plan” but I found my way around by blogging as that was peak blog era and had the pleasure of interviewing Olympic fencer Ben Bratton, Atlanta producers Sonny Digital and Metro Boomin before their careers skyrocketed. This start in my career began because I had “no experience” coming straight out of college. With a four year bachelors degree from Mercer University, I had to find ways to make ends meet and I poured into what I knew best and that was thankfully… writing. Since I have gone on to develop skills over the years from working behind the scenes that would prepare me for the next step and landed me in the hands of the founders of the NYU Tisch Clive Davis program to amplify the knowledge of music professionals through their Music Business sector. Overall it has added to my services of publicity for campaigns and rollouts, acquiring radio play and networking at the most exquisite events. When it comes to my overall brand understanding the individual at hand is key and having them know that is what makes me the best individual to place them in a position for opportunities to heighten their career.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Getting to know your audience is key. You have to feed the machine sorta in the beginning and do much trial and error. Consistency with it is important and after a while you develop your niche and will find ways to stick to it.

How did you put together the initial capital you needed to start your business?
Buy what you need in small batches. Many feel that they need everything in order straight out of the gate, but that’s extremely unrealistic. You have to give yourself time to grow in all areas of life but with time you will learn to save and buy when certain things are needed most.
