Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jwoodz. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Jwoodz, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?
First time I discoverd the idea of taking my talent and work towards a professional career was when a old friend of mine brought over his recording equipment to my home and asked if i could help with recording at the time, I had little knowledge of how it all worked but i did it anyway. He ended up leaving the audio equipment and never came back to get it so i ventured off and started to record and write my own music , then months later dropped my very first single! . I never imagined to be making music in my life in the way I started, I’ve always been musically talented but never really pin pointed what I was exactly going to put my energy and time into but 6 years later I’v become a well rounded Artist that is growing rapidly and building a solid future in the music industry.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your background and context?
My Brand is simply music that inspires the listener to follow there dreams , Ive always been a person that strives for excellence no matter the opposition, I grew up in a tough environment for majority of my life moving place to place with my mom as a child and later in my life I’ve took those set backs and turned it into art. My main focus is to spread the gospel throw my lyrics in a unique way that spreads love and praises to God. I have a high energy experience that I display, sometimes I always say i feel with as much energy I give out I could blow a power grid. my goal is to simply inspire the mind and heart to keep pushing forward you where made to prosper
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
One of the biggest and best reward for me is to see my music touch lives and inspire people, when they come to my shows and stay to support me when i get on stage and off stage , fans sharing stories on how my music changed there lives and helped them get through tough times in there personal lives its mind blowing.
In your view, what can society to do to best support artists, creatives and a thriving creative ecosystem?
honestly i would say and ask for people to simply support us as creatives and artist by just sharing what we have to offer even if its as simple sharing on social media or word of mouth to other outlets that may need to know about what you got going on because at the end of the day that really helps us it gives us the opportunity to share our gifts . If you listen or love what we do it should be a no brainer to tell the next person and the next person and the next person of the dope creative that planted a seed in your life.
