Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Justin Stricklin. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Justin, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to go back in time and hear the story of how you came up with the name of your brand?
When naming a business, it’s easy to go with something flashy or trendy, but for Justin Stricklin, founder of After The Storm AutoworX, the decision was rooted in something far deeper. “I didn’t just want a name,” he shares, “I wanted a promise—a message that resonates with the people we serve.”
The name After The Storm was born from thoughtful market research and a deliberate focus on the company’s target audience: women. “Studies showed that 60-65% of women preferred this name over others we tested. Women are often overlooked or taken advantage of in industries like automotive repair. I wanted to change that,” Justin explains. “Our goal was to create a culture where women feel comfortable, empowered, and, most importantly, confident that they’re being taken care of properly.”
Initially, the company focused solely on auto hail repair, but over time, it evolved into a full-service body shop. Despite this expansion, the name remained unchanged—because it had come to mean so much more. “After The Storm isn’t just about weather-related damage. It’s a metaphor for life,” Justin says. “We all face storms, whether it’s a fender-bender, a hailstorm, or the curveballs life throws at us. Our mission is to help customers rebuild after those storms—whether they’re literal or figurative.”
He continues, “Nobody wants to spend their hard-earned money on an unexpected visit to a body shop. We understand that, and our commitment is to make the process as seamless and stress-free as possible. We’re here to calm the chaos and help put the pieces back together.”
With After The Storm AutoworX, it’s not just about fixing cars; it’s about restoring trust, confidence, and peace of mind—one repair at a time.
Justin, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
About Justin Stricklin: A Journey of Resilience and Dedication
Justin Stricklin is no stranger to overcoming life’s storms. Born and raised in Arkansas, Justin developed a strong work ethic early on, lettering in multiple sports and earning the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout. In 2017, he moved to Texas, chasing hailstorms as a Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) technician, a journey that would lay the foundation for his entrepreneurial dreams.
Justin entered the auto hail repair industry in 2015, traveling across 36 states to perfect his craft. In 2019, he launched his first company, After The Storm Hail Repair, in Grand Prairie, Texas. Like many small businesses, it faced challenges, including a temporary closure during the pandemic. But Justin’s resilience never wavered. Determined to rebuild, he relaunched the business in 2022 as After The Storm AutoworX in Plano, expanding it into a full-service body shop that includes collision repair, PDR, auto glass replacement, and ADAS calibrations.
While running his business, Justin is also pursuing an associate degree in Auto Body, proving his belief in continuous education. His dedication extends beyond his company—he’s a proud father, an animal lover, and a passionate advocate for the recovery community. Alongside his fiancée, Allegra Florimbi, Miss Texas for America Strong, he actively supports causes that uplift and empower others.
For Justin, After The Storm AutoworX is more than a business—it’s a reflection of his values: integrity, transparency, and a commitment to helping people. Whether it’s a hail-damaged car or a customer’s peace of mind, Justin’s goal is to rebuild what was lost and make it better than before. His philosophy is simple: every storm eventually passes, and he’s here to help pick up the pieces.
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
For Justin Stricklin, founder of After The Storm AutoworX, success in the auto body industry goes far beyond delivering exceptional repairs—it’s about creating a culture of trust, integrity, and faith.
“One of the biggest factors that helped us build our reputation is that we run this business as a Christian company,” Justin shares. “At the end of the day, God is the one running the show for us. We pray for guidance, trust in His plan, and do our best to serve others in a way that honors Him. That foundation of faith shapes every decision we make.”
From the beginning, Justin set out to create a place where customers feel respected and empowered. “Transparency and honesty are non-negotiables for us,” he explains. “We treat every customer with the same care and integrity we would expect for our own family. This is especially important for women, who are often overlooked or taken advantage of in this industry. We want everyone to feel comfortable and confident when they trust us with their vehicle.”
Technical excellence has also played a critical role in After The Storm AutoworX’s reputation. The shop follows the latest OEM repair procedures, stays current with certifications, and uses advanced technology like in-house ADAS calibrations. “We’re known for doing things the right way, not the easy way,” Justin says. “God has blessed us with the skills and resources to provide top-quality repairs, and we take that responsibility seriously.”
Community involvement is another cornerstone of the company’s success. From hosting family-friendly events like Spooky Paws and Santa Paws to supporting local charities and the recovery community, After The Storm AutoworX has become a trusted part of the neighborhoods it serves.
Finally, Justin credits the personalized, family-oriented approach of his team. “We’re not just a business—we’re a community,” he says. “Our customers know they’re not just another number to us. We genuinely care about them and want to make their lives a little easier, especially during the tough times.”
At its core, the reputation of After The Storm AutoworX is built on faith, integrity, technical expertise, and a heart for serving others. “God put us here to help people,” Justin says. “Every storm eventually passes, and we’re honored to be the ones helping our customers rebuild.”
What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
For After The Storm AutoworX, the best source of new clients has always been word-of-mouth referrals and strong relationships within the community. “Networking groups and past customers have been our number one way of bringing in new business,” says Justin Stricklin, founder of the company.
Being active in networking groups allows Justin and his team to build trust and credibility while connecting with individuals and businesses that share their values. “It’s not just about marketing—it’s about forming genuine relationships,” he explains. “When people see the passion and integrity we put into our work, they’re confident recommending us to their friends, family, and colleagues.”
Referrals from past customers have also been a cornerstone of the company’s growth. “We’re incredibly grateful to our customers for trusting us enough to send others our way,” Justin says. “It’s the ultimate compliment. It tells us that we’re doing something right—not just fixing cars but creating an experience they feel good about sharing.”
The team at After The Storm AutoworX believes that every interaction is an opportunity to make a lasting impression. By delivering exceptional service, prioritizing customer satisfaction, and maintaining open communication, they’ve turned satisfied clients into enthusiastic advocates for their business.
