We recently connected with Justin Nye and have shared our conversation below.
Justin, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Taking care of customers isn’t just good business – it is often one of the main reasons folks went into business in the first place. So, we’d love to get a conversation going around how to best help clients feel appreciated – maybe you can share something you’ve done or seen someone do that’s been really effective at helping a customer feel valued?
Everyday we greet our patients with a warm welcome; smile, greeted by name, and a quick catch up. Many patients have mention in our Google Reviews that they feel like family.
Annually, we host a Patient Appreciation Day in our parking lot. We have raffle prizes, a bags/cornhole tournament, free food, bounce house for the kids, and other activities. This year we had tie dye for the kids, which was a huge success! This event allows us to catch up with patients beyond their appointment, enjoy time together, and thank our patients for partnering with us in their wellness journey. Our patients love this event! We see about 35-40% of our patients at our Patient Appreciation Day
Justin, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
First we create the culture of community within our practice. This culture is an experience that people want to share with their loved ones. At Woodbury Spine, our community feels that they are a part of something bigger than themselves.
A few ways that we keep in touch with our clients is through text, email, phone call, and social media. We host a variety of events throughout the year that our patients are invited to participate in, both inside and outside of the clinic. We send birthday texts to our patients on their birthday and if they are working out in our Functional Fitness Center, we create a special Birthday Workout honoring them in that class time.
Any advice for managing a team?
We have an open door policy. We are a team, not “staff” or “just an employee.” We come up with solutions to problems as a team and create workflows that make sense.
As owners/leadership, we invest in our team’s personal lives. We put a high value on faith and family; those will always come first. We pray together and rally to support our team when life throws in a curve ball.
Each person on our team has ownership of a specific area of our practice within their skillset. You may see our Associate Doctors of Chiropractic training an intern or our front desk team working on areas in billing.
When making major changes, we allow everyone’s voices to be heard and take into consideration what our team shares. This allows our team to be a part of the culture we’ve created here at Woodbury Spine.
