Justin, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear about one of the craziest things you’ve experienced in your journey so far.

So being in the podcast world, its always best to network with fellow podcasters both near and far. I discovered this early in my journey as a podcaster. As months and months go by my instagram followers increase. One podcaster in particular I would message from time to time just to be friendly. One day I decided to message her to see about possibly being on my show and she said basically at the moment she was very busy so reach out to her at a later date. I simply responded by saying in the new year I will get back to her and she was ok with that. Here is where it gets very interesting. On new years I was just hanging out at home and I decided to reach out. BIG MISTAKE! She went off on me as if I stole something from her. I must’ve caught her on a bad day because basically I was hounding her and not respecting her time. Keep in mind I was very respectful and I was simply trying to be professional. I guess that doesn’t work for some people so she ended up unfollowing me and I just simply blocked her because I’m just trying to be a friendly podcaster instead of asking you out on a date! Either way, she’s in Canada!

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

So I wear two hats in my life: Educator by day, podcaster by night. My podcast was started because during the pandemic I was on a friend’s podcast and I have a great time and I felt like my voice wanted to continue so after months of procrastinating I started ThisIsTheLifePodcast. My podcast is simply about Life. Things you MAY or MAY NOT want to hear will be said. My intention is not to offend anybody but simply to remind that Life is unpredictable. Interviews from all types of people will be produced
What I am most proud of are the connections I have made. The people I have met along the way have been extremely supportive of my brand/movement

We’d love to hear about how you keep in touch with clients.

Simple. Social Media and email. The power of social media is unbelievable. Everyone nowadays has some type of platform that keeps them informed. Also, word of mouth. A simple word spread can go a long way!

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?

Once I started my instagram page, I did not know where to start. I started searching various people, followed them, they followed me back and the rest is history. If you are just starting your social media presence, give it time. Find people that are relatable to your field and reach out. Also, hash tag your photos!! Hash tags go a long way!
