Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Justin Jenkins. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Justin, appreciate you joining us today. Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?
At the age of 19, I was living with my grandfather and working 9-5 at McDonald’s, making beats, songs, and working extremely hard, so I started praying and talking to God, asking him to show me the way. So he used my mother, and she informed me of a position, and a higher paying job, overseas. I was afraid of losing everything, including my surroundings and the people I was with, and I realized that I wasn’t missing out on anything because I did everything that a normal adolescent would do, so I finally got tired of working so hard for $800 every two weeks and told my mother that I’m ready to grow up and make me and her proud, so I applied for the position and got it, so at the age of 19, I took the risk of going overseas and making music and becoming the producer/ artist, cutting off everything that wasn’t helping me on my path, friends, family, jobs, anything that wasn’t serving me in a positive way or supporting me, I cut off everyone who didn’t believe in me and told me I wasn’t going to be nothing and prove them wrong, and I took the risk to become the successful person I am today and make my dreams come true.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
My name is Justin Jenkins but my stage name is Munchies and Since 2021, I’ve been a professional producer and artist. I mostly just like creating beats and music as a way of expressing myself. The majority of my experience has come from working in clubs, events with other artists, and studios with renowned recording artists. I vow to enhance people’s experiences by playing music that is exhilarating and thrilling. My ability to advance my career even when others want to follow the standard and use it as a side gig is what I am most proud of. Before listening to and purchasing my beats, prospective customers should be aware of the fact that they will have a great musical and interpersonal experience thanks to my services. wonderful conversation and client care that strengthens connections with the folks I network with and each client I’ve collaborated with to produce beats and songs has contacted me back, given me a recommendation, and said I was the toughest to deal with. I was approached by several labels, but I declined since I’m independent.
Is there mission driving your creative journey?
My creative journey began as a child, when I developed a strong interest in music. I started making beats out of pots and pans and singing with brushes in front of a mirror, dreaming of performing in front of a crowd. Making beats and music brings me joy. In my creative journey, I’ve made it my mission to demonstrate and share with others that no journeys are alike. The goal of my creative journey is to be able to support myself and my family It is the same principles of learning anything, not just the creative field. I hope to inspire others to spend just an 30 mins to a hour a day doing something they enjoy or find interesting. Never stop creating.
How did you build your audience on social media?
My social media audience has grown steadily since I began selling my beats and posting more constant of my music . I still have a lot to learn, but my goal has always been to strive for quality rather than quantity. My main goal is to connect with the people who invest their time and money in my work. I hope to connect with an audience that genuinely enjoys and anticipates the sound that I create. another way I grew it was networking with others with a larger audience.
