Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Justin Hall. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Justin , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Do you take vacations? Why or why not?

Taking a step away from the day-to-day as a business owner or anyone is vital to your personal health and growth but more importantly the health and growth of your business. If you are working within your purpose of life this vacation has the ability to generate fresh ideas for your business or help solve current issues that you couldn’t wrap your mind around, by reconnecting your mind, body, and soul remembering the purpose away from the pressures of the business. Sometimes we can lose ourselves trying the balance our personal lives with our business lives. This can lead to negative outcomes within your business and personal live if you don’t find time to get away and ground yourself. Allowing yourself to make more clear and decisive decisions being at peace and enjoying the fruits of your labor. The trick is letting go, the vacation won’t do you any good if you are unable to let go of the day to day and love on you. The business will still be there when you return if you’re a good leader.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

My name is Justin Hall Executive Director, Board President, and Founder of New Nation Center and CEO of JDH Solutions. My experience is vast, from management in both retail and senior management, case management with clients who were at risk from all walks of life. Production experience from producing, production management, sound and directing for both tv and music. Originally from Los Angeles, Ca I’ve now been in the great state of Texas for about 10 years now. Back in 2018 I saw that more was needed to really see change among at-risk and low-income individuals to bring them out into a new season of life I saw what my purpose was in life.

I development New Nation Center with that in mind thinking outside the box and seeing the bigger problem and the bigger picture within our society. My mission is to transform the lives of youth and young adults by providing an atmosphere that is encapsulated with education, awareness, healing, and development We have a society of youth and young adults who are lost in direction and educated by social media the is full of lies and false hope.

New Nation Center offers individual the opportunity to grow within their personal goals and gain or have a better understanding of their spiritual growth and how it moves the outcomes of live. New Nation Center offers several programs for those aged 10 years old to 27 years old and services for all ages. We also have programs for those over 28 years old just within a different form. We are currently redeveloping our programs and location due to the covid-19 outbreak that shutdown our economy. Program’s that will be offered are, GED Prep and Testing, Tutoring Services, Business, Career Development, Entrepreneurship, Music Development / Film and TV Studio, Technology Studio, Sports / Fitness Program and Transformation Men’s, and Women’s group. We are currently offering limiting services being we are community partners with Texas Health and Human Services and our youth sports league is currently active preparing for the 2024 season. I am planning for a relaunch of all programs and services in January of 2024.

JDH Solutions PLLC is a company I formed during the covid-19 pandemic so I could focus more on New Nation Center and my own happiness in life. JDH Solutions have three different brands, first is our all-lines insurance agency that offers personal insurance, business insurance, medical / life insurance, special event insurance and auto warranty protection. We are licensed in 15 different states and have 60 different insurance companies we have partnered with to provide some of the best coverages in our states. We only work with AM Best rated carriers and work with individuals from all walks of life. Soon we will offer job to our participant who would like to peruse a career in the insurance industry and offer them away to gain financial means while on their path of redirection.

I started my insurance agency due to the lack of transparency among the African American community and lower income individual. This group can fall victim to the world of insurance due to the lack of education around the topic. They most likely will pay higher rates or have more coverage than they need either due to agents trying to make a commission off the lack of knowledge or not educating individual on ways to improve their personal issues to get lower rate. Insurance has a world of benefits that most in these areas don’t either have access to or are undereducated on, I want to bridge that gap by providing those benefit options to that group of individuals along with the education need to improve personal issues and unlock the full benefits on this industry. Insurance can be a blessing in times of struggle if individuals understood how, it works and why it is important to gain and maintain.

The other two brands are OMG Vegan Cookies and Jescape Men’s Product line. OMG was an idea that came after the death of my grandmother in 2022, I wanted to find a way to honor her, and my granny was a great baker. So, I turned some of her best cakes into vegan no guilt cookies. Jescape came from shopping in the store and not seeing more natural products for men that not only improved our bodies but had a great smell. Jescape product line consist of body washes and bars, full body scrubs and body oils and lotions.

We’d really appreciate if you could talk to us about how you figured out the manufacturing process.

Jescape product line consist of body washes and bars, full body scrubs and body oils and lotions. I never took an outside class or even knew how to make products but thankfully we have YouTube and google that offer a world of knowledge. I started to look at the products I used daily and ways that I could make this same product but with natural and organic ingredients that didn’t have negative effects on our skin like most products and improved the overall health of our skin. Looking at the ingredients and the importance to them in the product and then find the natural or organic version of the ingredients to form my products.

This took me about a year of mixing making costly mistakes and wasting a lot of products to come up with the formulas I have now. I tested my products on myself and sent out to family and friends, several levels of test to the extent I went three days without a shower just to see how my products would stand up. It’s one thing to come up with the idea, but to see it through and have an extremely great results and comments from those who have tried it gives you a different type of humbleness. Hard work does pay off, I put my all into an idea and came out with a great product. I don’t look at the money lost it was a part of the development, I now look at the money I will make and the future products that will be in development.

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?

For me, the most effective strategy for growing my clients have been on a face-to-face level. Yes, social media is a great tool to market and get out there, but it has many disadvantages for those who are just starting out and lack funds. With social media, you have a lot of real business and a lot of scam businesses which nowadays is very hard to tell apart. Unless you have a check mark, have some off-the-wall content, or a hefty marketing budget it’s hard to cut through to fake to people can see the real. When dealing with people face to face you can get a feel for the person from both sides, See and demo your products along with having a more personal interaction to secure the sale. To me, nothing will beat face-to-face in the initial meeting then follow me on social media and you can order online.
