Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Justin Brown. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Justin thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. So, naming is such a challenge. How did you come up with the name of your brand?
I came up with the name by using my creative thoughts. I thought the south is known for mudding, lakes and ponds, and just a lot of country way of life outings. So everything country I think of is kind of dirty. Dirty south has the impression of that, hey we have a lot of dirty houses. Let’s clean em up.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
I’m come form the small town of magnolia before it got so big. I left magnolia at 18 to serve my country the best way I know how. I went into the air force to be an aircraft mechanic. I spent 12 years serving. Going all over the world. I found myself helping so many people everywhere I went. I was granted so much gratification fork seeing people smile after helping them. I told myself one day I would give back the best way I know how. That is using my attention to detail and strong work ethics to help people keep their homes, vehicles and equipment clean and presentable. I think our tools of our trade are an outward appearance of ourselves. I won’t to show people that creating a beautiful curb appeal by keeping the exterior of their home clean and presentable. I pride myself on having fair and affordable prices.
Can you open up about how you funded your business?
This all started from a dream of course. And driven from a strong determination to make money for myself so that I could help others. I was laid if from the oilfield. I was tired of the up’s and downs. I had worked there long enough that when I was laid off I received a pension amount. I used that to purchase the equipment to start my business.
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
My wife was diagnosed with breast cancer and was told she would have to get a double mastectomy. I was drowning in medical bills. Also along with that my son was still being treated for leukemia. Even though all that I still pushed to work when I can. It’s hard to pay for advertising so I went door to door because it didn’t cost me anything. I cut cost to a bare minimum and pushed through the hard times. Got my siblings to help as helpers
