Just Pauleen, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
My mission statement reads as follows:
“Psychic Consultant and Mentor… Because I want to inspire you! That’s it! It’s the whole reason I’m here. To offer you a unique and personal experience where your soul can look right into a mirror and gain clarity like you’ve never known before. My mission is to never stop finding innovative ways to enable you to create, inspirit, and realize a sense of clarity in your life.”
The story behind my mission is simple. I believe that each and every one of us is connected to, what I like to call, our “Soul Voice.”
You hear New Age folk say words such as “Universe, God, Intuition, Psychic Abilities etc” and I believe you can give it any name you want, but every human has a deep connection to the voice of their soul. And the voice of your soul is connected to all of this creation.
There is a lot more to this, but to simplify, everything in the universe is made of Matter. Matter broken down to its smallest level is simply energy. All of us are connected by this energy. Therefore, you are connected to everyone and everything in that way.
I also believe that your “Soul Voice”, the voice that is uniquely you- is the voice that knows what is best for you. It knows what your heart wants what your passions are and even what your life path could be in order for you to live the life you are meant to live or as spiritualists will say “What is in the highest good of all.”
Now, the problem arises, it is that as we live life, we have issues, experiences and traumas that come from our childhood and/or past, we become jaded or lead astray such that our “Soul Voice” becomes harder and harder to hear-So we walk around life, finding ourselves stuck in situations, feeling frustrated and moving in circles, feeling unable to move forward. Maybe you find yourself working at jobs where the boss hates you. Maybe you’ve been in and out of relationships and can’t seem to settle down. Perhaps you have trouble relating to your adult children. Whatever the real-life issue is that you are dealing with- Your soul voice knows how to help you. You know how to help you! But you may need help hearing yourself.
Think about it. You KNOW this soul voice I am talking about. It sometimes whispers quietly to us, and we hear it and ignore it, or we are so busy worrying about fitting in or doing the right thing that we simply tune it out. But, rest assured, that soul voice of yours is there, talking to you all day long.
My job is to help you connect and hear the voice of your own soul. I am a conduit, a guide, a switchboard operator you could even say! My abilities allow me to hear your soul voice and to guide you on how to move forward in harmony with it.
As a Psychic Consultant and Mentor, I am NOT a mind reader that will give you a list of future predictions organized by date and time. This is disempowering. There are other psychics who will do this type of thing, but I would not be the right person for you if that is what you want.
My job is to give you power by helping you study your situation, see what’s going on and then help you decide what options and actions are the best for you. I help twist your perspective and contemplate your choices, but I will never tell you what to do!
Therefore, a psychic reading with me is not just for people who are into the “Woo Woo” spiritual stuff, but it is rather a very practical interaction. I have clients who are business owners that come to me for help with figuring out roadblocks in building their businesses; I have helped Managers in a corporate setting problem-solve issues within the workplace and with their teams.
People from all walks of life come to me with everyday conundrums in order to accomplish goals, break patterns, improve interpersonal relationships and find understanding. I help them determine strengths, hurdles, advantages, disadvantages pertaining to your situation (based upon that “soul voice”) and ultimately help find the right path. I am here to guide, empower and help find clarity.

I am a Psychic Consultant and I currently offer psychic consultations through email, phone calls and events.
As a Psychic Consultant I help real people solve real, everyday problems in a very practical way using the help of magical psychic abilities (inherent in all of us by the way). People come to me with specific issues, and we drill down to the root of them, addressing various layers involved – and eventually find practical, actionable steps, individualized and tailored to the client, allowing the client to move forward with confidence and clarity. I help people break free from thought patterns, explore new possibilities, gain confidence, and understand personal roadblocks, challenges, and strengths.
What separates me from the herd is that I try to approach psychic work in a realistic, scientific, and worldly sense. A lot of people hear the word psychic and tons of assumptions spring forth! Spirituality has a very mysterious veil around it and many people are either intimidated by it or think it’s a bunch of hooey.
I know many people that would never consider getting a psychic reading simply because of the stereotypes that surround spirituality and the spiritual community. Some of the practices and rituals involving spirituality may appear bizarre to someone who is new. People who aren’t already involved or interested in the spiritual community will often express discomfort in such a setting.
As I am a person rooted in practical daily actions, I understand this concern.
Therefore, I aim to make my readings practical and grounded. I like to let my clients know that you don’t have to do all the stuff, rituals and whatnot, that others in the spiritual community are doing, in order to connect to yourself. Spirituality does not HAVE to look like that. That’s the beauty of it. It can be individualized. The spiritual community has created beautiful practices but that’s not the only way to be spiritual. As a matter of fact many of my clients are people who wouldn’t normally get a psychic reading.
My other strength is my ability to take new age philosophical and spiritual concepts and help explain them in a very matter-of-fact way to help a client utilize the concepts in their lives.
It’s my goal to help people understand that getting a psychic reading is not necessarily a mystical and mysterious “woo woo” type of thing, but rather a very practical and useful tool to be used to get clear and focused on problems, their origins, and most importantly their solutions.
Every psychic reader has a different style and approach, and my approach is based in practicality. Many imagine a psychic as the woman who looks into a crystal ball and divines your future. Not the case with me. When you have a reading with me it will feel like you are in a coaching session or talking to a very good friend. That is a very purposeful approach. It’s my personal talent and preference. I like to make my sessions fun, empowering, practical, focused and grounding.
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
A majority of my business is referral based. I’ve not spent much in terms of advertising and marketing, yet I stay very busy. I’ve pondered how this has happened in a market saturated with other psychics and spiritualists.
Advertising is a must and I think I’ve made do with very little advertising because of how much I love my work, care about my clients, and how determined I am to help my clients understand everything about their situation inside and out. I believe my preparation and efforts clearly stand out to my clients when they receive readings and as a result my clients keep sending friends to me!
The consistent feedback from my clients is that I “really, actually, honestly care!”.
Clients have told me that when they talk to me, they feel that I genuinely have their well-being at heart. They also tell me that any messages I have for them are most frequently delivered in a very warming, empowering, practical and positive way- helping them to receive even the most difficult messages that at times one must hear. I’ve been told that the way I present things really fits all the puzzle pieces together. Lastly, and very importantly to me, I have received feedback that time and time again, after a reading with me, clients ACTUALLY TAKE ACTION!
In one testimonial a client stated: “I could trust you to make observations on long-term patterns and behaviors and look at the bigger picture. It wasn’t just “client wants to talk about this specific question so that’s all we’re going to address,” you would zoom out and look at the bigger picture. A lot of psychics (and people in general) would just take the approach of “client is asking me for X so X is all they get” but you seem to be “client is asking me for X but I think YZ are important for them to think about too, so I’m going to bring that up.” You just go the extra mile.”

This particular client was male… stereotypically, in this industry, men don’t often line-up for readings as much as women do! So, I have also been given feedback that I have a larger percentage of male clientele due to my practical and logical approach to this work.”

These are the biggest compliments I could ever receive, and it fills me with warmth to know that my clients recognize my true intentions. I get great satisfaction and pleasure from helping people who are genuinely looking for change. When someone comes to me, seeking guidance, I excitedly go all-in, diving into their situation, moving through all the layers, trying to help them find the most powerful understanding that will help them get “unstuck” from where they are.
I don’t believe in offering answers or surface-solution as many coaches or other psychics may offer. One of the most frustrating experiences I had as a student or as an employee when I was trying to learn is that people would never explain to me the “Why”. They wanted me to learn how to push buttons and give prescribed answers. I was never satisfied with that. How could I push buttons and do the work and give the best product if I didn’t understand the “why” behind it?
I constantly get teased even today because I am the person who will ask the same question 5 times in order to make sure I understand every angle of it. I bring this same energy and philosophy to my clients. I am not satisfied until we answer all the “why’s“ so that my client can truly understand things and consequently make long lasting changes and the right decisions for themselves. How can you make changes in your life without truly understanding the WHY!?
My specialty is that I go even deeper beneath the layers than most other people in this business do. I believe you must dig through many or all layers to get to the root of the issue and start from that base, otherwise the problem will appear again. It’s not enough to get a quick fix- I go for long term understanding and healing. This, I believe, has helped me build my reputation within my market.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
A decade ago my life was completely different.
I could never stay in a job longer than a few years. Boredom or anxiety would kick in, compelling me to move from that job to some other. I always found something wrong, something to fix, and simply continued to hope that I would find a magical solution in the next venture. I would always run away from things.. run away from my feelings and my fears. I thought a fresh start would be my solution but everything I was running away from always came back to haunt me!
I didn’t know how I was going to survive life and become a responsible adult who did “adult” things such as owning a home or having a 25 year work anniversary. I couldn’t commit to anything and I couldn’t be depended upon for the long term. I job hopped.. Hop. Hop. Hop! And I ran.. Run. Run. Run!
I had a pretty harsh inner critic residing with me. I knew that I was likable, people enjoyed my company, and I was good for a laugh or two, but beyond that, I simply didn’t think I could ever be a true and responsible adult.
I wasn’t capable of fulfilling relationships or being a good daughter, cousin, wife, girlfriend, employee, niece, sister or friend. My inner critic made sure I was aware of this. I was a good person at heart, but could I ever be independent and stand on my own two feet? Could I ever be capable of maintaining relationships? My inner critic was clear and told me very loudly- “No- you’ll never be that Pauleen. Never!”. This inner critic had no faith in me or my abilities to survive the world and have good interpersonal relationships. I had failed in every aspect and in those times this critic was right there and ready to tell me “I told you so!”
But then, one year, everything in my life was flipped upside down. You know the major stress events that Psychologists talk about such as moving, career change, divorce, and death.. events that wreak havoc on a person’s life and health? They suggest that dealing with even ONE of those events can significantly impact someone’s life.. Well, all of those happened to me in a span of 6 months!!! Yea.. All OF THEM!
My life headed to a place that was unimaginable to me. Every thought, every belief, and every story I had about who I was came into question that year. Left with no other choice than to face the only path that was available to me, I started walking toward my new normal. I had no clue what that would be. I only knew that I had to get myself together and be able to rely on myself.
When faced with nothing but the unknown that year I ended up learning how to “Flip my script.”
Rather than being crippled in anxiety, I started looking at my anxiety as “detail-oriented hyper-critical thinking.. and a skill!
Now instead of cringing when people called me annoying for asking too many questions- I understood that I was simply drilling down to get all the facts and information I needed to make an informed decision. Really, I was being a BOSS!
I just started flipping the script or reimagining all of those things that I felt made me a “loser.”
I realized that when the world turns its back on you (because that is how it feels in that moment) that the only person you can rely on to have your own back-Is YOU.
I had to support myself. I had to be my own best friend, my own parent and my own boss, and take charge of my life- No matter what. I became my biggest protector. So rather than hide in a corner allowing my inner critic and the world tell me what I was capable of- I became my biggest cheerleader. I began to finally respect myself as a person. I never ever in a million years thought I would feel that way about myself.
I never thought I could get to a place where I could hold my ground, stabilize my mind and inner energy, jump hurdles without giving up, keep a job, maintain great friendships or just keep my life together in general – Adulting! Haha. But that is exactly what happened.
In those subsequent years I started my Psychic Consulting business. I purchased a home. I found a great new day job. I became one to be relied upon. I became happy. I also met the most wonderful partner in the world!
There was a moment when I stood there in front of my new house, key in hand, and I was in shock that I had made it here. I purchased a home with all my own hard work, gumption, perseverance and determination. I was able to respect myself enough to recognize all the talents and abilities I had and put them to use. I didn’t know previously that I had those abilities, because my inner critic told me I didn’t. I made the mistake of believing that voice.
Once I stopped listening to the critic and started listening to the “voice of my own soul” everything around me began to blossom!
I listened to the voice of my own soul and acted on its advice. I continue to do that to this day for myself.. but now in addition, I also do so for others! I love helping people through my psychic work on their personal journeys. I love helping them come to find their strength, confidence, love and respect for themselves. I love my work!
