Today we’d like to introduce you to Jupiter F. Stone.
Hi Jupiter F. , we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started from an island now I’m… well on a different one.
My parents moved to Hawai’i when they were young. They met there when they were older. Then there was me.
I was born and raised on the island of Oahu. I grew up on the west coast in a town called Wai’anae where I had the absolute privilege of spending the first 24 years of my life.
Apparently I always had, “it”. I started performing on stages at 4, I began theatrical training at 7 and by the time I was 17 – I was co-producer of the highest ranked high school news media program in the nation. In my early 20’s I got scouted by Disneys’ The Lion King on broadway and was told I needed more training than my island could offer me. I was advised to move to New York City.
That was not gonna happen. Way too cold.
Instead at the end of 2014 I moved to California. Compromise ya know?
At that time I was just trying to make it past 365 days. Most people where I’m from don’t make it that far before they “quit and come home”. It was hard. But I pushed myself. I just had to make it a year.
Now it’s been 10. I spent 8 in the Continental United States dancing up and down the different sectors of the media and entertainment industry both in real life and online. It was a TRIP! To say the least… and after almost a decade… my body started to break down. I needed a big change. I ended up going to visit my best friend who had moved back to their home in Puerto Rico. Then I didn’t leave and now – here I am.
I really truly believe I am my best self when I am on island and this one has been so generous to me.
Most islanders believe, understand and participate in a symbiotic relationship with the nature around them.
That’s how I got to where I am today. I never forgot.
Even in the most dangerous of cities and in the coldest of casting rooms with high powered Hollywood Producers.
Even in the days and nights of not seeing the outside because I was on contract and my time was now theirs.
Even in the moments where I felt so far away from home and like I’d never get to go back that I almost let go.
My connection through the sea… to the island that raised me – it kept me strong and it kept me on course even when I felt lost I always knew I could go home.
Which I why I stayed away so long.
To gain experience and resources to bring back home.
Distance gives perspective and I’m building something big.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Any road that leads you across an ocean isn’t gonna be a smooth ride…
Of course there’s the culture shock. Pure population alone really caused me to wobble for the first few years. My hometown had 12,000 people in it. I’d say a quarter of them knew me directly and over half would know someone in my family. Now all of a sudden… I was in a city of nearly 4 million people where I didn’t know many people but I had somehow accumulated 500,000 followers online. I’m not sure what that does to ones brain chemistry but it was certainly discombobulating and no therapist I went to really understood what I was going through so I had to sort of DIY my own wellness plan.
Speaking of… I excelled in media and performance. One of the best of the best on every stage of on every page.
But I ended up becoming such a high performer I was stunted in personal development. I don’t think we talk about this enough.
I could go and slay a song but my ability to emotionally regulate, tap into my empathy, gain awareness around my energy and how it impacts people… that was really underdeveloped.
What they don’t tell you is that is you wanna survive in LA and keep an ounce of your sanity, it’s not just about nailing auditions and updating your profile and networking and staying relevant. Those who make it and make it out whole… worked on their “brand” (self) from the inside out. And I wish I knew that sooner.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
The most important lesson I’ve learned along my journey is the power of owning and sharing your story. I’ve discovered that our unique experiences… no matter how small or personal they may seem – have the potential to inspire others, spark meaningful change, and even open doors we could have never even dreamed were possible.
From producing local documentaries to performing on international stages, to becoming a creative entrepreneur connecting islanders and social entrepreneurs globally, I’ve seen firsthand how being brave enough to share my truth has not only shaped my career but also empowered others to do the same.
I’ve learned that even when the path feels impossible or inconceivable, staying true to who you are and why you started is what leads to the most fulfilling growth.
Every setback, pivot, and reinvention has been a stepping stone to creating the impact I’m proud of today.
Most importantly, I’ve realized that success is most meaningful when it’s shared.
There’s nothing better than building a life that uplifts others, celebrates communities, and leaves a legacy bigger than yourself. That’s the heart of everything I do.
Tell your story. And let’s change the world together.
