We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Junior Francica a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Junior, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. To kick things off, we’d love to hear about things you or your brand do that diverge from the industry standard
One of the things that I do differently from the industry standard is the way I marked myself. I primarily market through video to people wanting to move to Chattanooga (the city I am based in). Most Realtors focus on generating leads or marketing to people in the area but my focus is to people all over the country wanting to move to the area. Doing so, most of my business comes from people relocating to Chattanooga.
I do this through my YouTube channel. I give as much value and information as I can to people researching Chattanooga about all the different locations, things to know, and so on.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
I was born in Brazil and grew up in Miami, so I am not native to the area that I live in now and I served in the Marine Corps for 4 years. Having grown up in a different city gives me a perspective of what others wanting to move to the area may want to know or need help with. Having served in the military, I learned a lot about getting things done regardless of the circumstances which truly helps me serve my clients.
I got into the real estate industry because of an old boss who switched careers and told me how much he enjoyed it. I followed his footsteps and am very glad I did. I believe my life experiences and being a Marine helps me serve my clients and help them make their transitions to a new city. Customer service is very important in my business and through my partners, I always strive to make the move as painless and stressless as possible.
I have also done some photography and videography in the past so moving to a video type of marketing through YouTube, although scary by putting myself out there, was the direction I wanted to take my business.

Have you ever had to pivot?
I essentially started real estate two times. The first time I got my license in 2018, I was told to cold call or call my sphere of influence and I wasn’t fully into that plan. That resulted in me not selling anything for the first 8 months of the year. I decided to go back to school and finish my degree which I did.
Soon after starting a corporate job in a 9-5, I realized it wasn’t for me and decided to give real estate another shot. This time I have more pressure with 3 small kids at home but I had a different strategy to implement.
I learned how to shoot videos and started a YouTube channel about the city I work in for marketing. It took a bit to get going but my business has grown faster than I have anticipated through my YouTube channel and now people reach out to me to help them buy a house here in Chattanooga.
Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
Video has been the best source for me. Specifically YouTube. If your able to optimize your channel and make videos that people really want to see or answer questions, you will be surprised at how much business you will get from just giving people value.
