We recently connected with Junie Boyer and have shared our conversation below.
Junie, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today. What sort of legacy are you hoping to build. What do you think people will say about you after you are gone, what do you hope to be remembered for?
Legacy is more about what you contributed to the lives of others while living and less about the platforms you held. I’d like my legacy to be remembered and honored as one of service, community and giving back. Many times we think of financial means when we say giving back but I am referring to giving service, time, support and aid to those that need it the most. See when you live a selfless life your legacy will speak for itself. Many times those your impacting and motivating while your alive you’ll never truly comprehend or even have an idea that that particular individual or those groups benefited from your work. From young girls to older women I’d like to be able to know that there interaction and or communication with me caused them to see life in a more vivid way which made them desire to see the good even in the bad and enabled them to decide and make choices that empowered them and those around them. When your perspective changes your life changes because your no longer viewing the world as a place to exist but as a place to bring change, dominate (according to your gifts) and shift mindsets and views in a positive light.

Junie, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Junie Boyer, Graduate Registered Nurse, is Ms. Corporate America 2022, a motivational speaker, Founder of 4HER Perspective 501c3 Nonprofit, author of “The Whole & Healed You” prayer affirmation book and visionary and founder of “Everything I’m Not” Womens Community. For the past 7 years she works and serves as a Pediatric Support Coordinator for one of the largest Health Insurance Company’s in the state of New York. She has a passion for ministry, serving and pouring into young girls/ women.
Her platform consist of encouraging young girls and women to know the power of self love and how to navigate life’s journey with a positive mindset to reach there highest potential. The thing that inspires Junie is to continue to climb the ladder of success, and the idea that even after we’ve accomplished our “to do” list, we still have work to do.
Her outlook on life is that “There’s always room & an opportunity to do more! “ She strives daily to passionately pursue purpose while impacting and encouraging others to go further than where they are!
How did you get into your industry / business?
As a young girl although I had an amazing support system and awesome upbringing I realized as I got older that my struggle with low self esteem was bigger than what I could comprehend. See I wasn’t in the situation where I was raised in a rough neighborhood or where I watched those around me struggling with drugs or alcohol. My lack of self esteem was due to me holding my thoughts and feelings inside. I would hear the words “your beautiful” and simply nod as a form of saying thank you. It wasn’t until I got older in my twenties that I identified that my self esteem wasn’t as strong as I had thought. Any compliment for an item I might of had or something I wore I would always kick it back to the person saying it. For example I remember folks complementing me on shoes or an outfit and instead of receiving it I’d deflect and say something negative like “these shoes are super old”. As I got older I realized that that as a young girl what could and would of made a significant positive impact in my life was the proper guidance by a mentor. Not just someone who I could call mentor by name but one in which transparency and growth could be exchanged. This is what caused me to create my nonprofit “4 HER Perspective” based out of Orlando FL who’s mission is to inspire, encourage and empower individuals to overcome obstacles through workshops, mentoring and community outreach. We don’t just mentor but we go into group homes, shelters, transitional housing facilities and journey with young girls and women who may have stumbled or had a rough patch. We also incorporate life skill sessions with them and assist them in meeting goals that catapult them into there next while helping them discover there why.
What type of products/services/creative works do you provide?
I have always been a visionary! Wether it be envisioning an event for the elite where they could come out and celebrate achievements while pouring back into the community, wether it be creating an event catered around the women in my community (Everything I’m Not) or wether it be creating an experience that leaves a life long impactful impression.
My service consist of mentoring and bridging the gap between community and needed resources. I exude this in my nonprofit, within my church’s (The Kingdom Church) ministry as well as within the many collaborations I am blessed to be apart of.
What you think sets you apart from others.?
There are people who desire to do or be something and than there are others who are called (hand picked and destined by God) to passionately operate in certain lanes. My gift to speak to women and reach them where they are resonates with not just young girls but women of all ages. I’ve had the privilege to pour into women who are much older than me and they are never intimidated by my age but they appreciate my heart and what I have to offer. My gift causes me to be able to make women feel capable and worthy! Sometimes all we need is the right person to aide us in pulling out and walking out what is already in us.
I consider myself to be a “Mindset Mentor/ Coach”.
What are you most proud of and what are the main things you want potential clients/followers/fans to know about you/your brand/your work/ etc.?
I am most proud of my desire to help others! Wether it be within my nonprofit, my small group I facilitate (Going Thru The Motions), My career as a Pediatric Support Coordinator or my interaction with young girls and women; I have a desire to ensure that every interaction is left with an impactful, uplifting, motivating and engaging experience. I truly want to see women walk in self love and freedom. I want every women I engage with to leave knowing that no matter what they have gone through in there journey that they are valued, they are loved and that they have the potential and the ability to overcome any obstacle life throws at them while making a difference in the life of someone else.
When you walk in self love and freedom your able to walk in your uniqueness and operate and function in the way in which you were created to; having no limits! When I tapped into “self love” and mentally being free from carrying other peoples opinions, perceptions and even problems I begin to live an impactful & purposeful life! Living a purposeful life doesn’t mean your perfect but it means you live with intentionality and that your daily desire isn’t just to benefit you but to enable others to be able to eat from your cup (what you have to offer).
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
Resilience is defined as the capacity to recover quickly from difficulties; toughness.
If I am quite honest I can say that my journey to growing and loving the woman I am today came through process. My process encompassed self discovery, at some point putting my needs before others and understanding that I am unique and valuable. My resilience was discovered through pushing past insecurities (low self esteem), appreciating my gifts (the things I’m good at and or called to do) and operating in my full potential (following and operating in passion & purpose). It is through resilience that I am here today as Ms. Corporate America 2022.
Even in going after that title I had doubts. I didn’t doubt the organization but I doubted that I could actually win. It was a friend Dr. Ketia Cayo who encouraged me to compete and even through that process I had to be resilient in coming to an understanding that I was made to be here. Here wasn’t just on stage when I won the title. But here was me realizing that I was made to dominant every space God would allow me the opportunity to grace. I was extremely humbly grateful nonetheless to win because I competed against some powerhouses. These ladies are engineers, trial attorneys, scientist and so much more. Although I won the title of Ms. Corporate America 2022 I’ve gained a sisterhood and family within the MCA organization. An organization where Business Meets Beauty. An organization that’s all about empowering corporate professionals, business leaders and CEOs who are dedicated to their career, family and community.
Resilience doesn’t stop when you’ve reached certain achievements or Plato’s of success but it’s an ongoing battle to be resilient daily and fight the inner you, the worlds view of you and walking into the destined and purposed you.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
Life wouldn’t be life without lessons! Life’s lessons can either destroy us if we let them or cause us to come up pushing past failure and pain and in the end ultimately finding the meaning of why we even endured those things.
A lesson that I had to unlearn stems from “aiming for perfection”. Growing up, I wanted to be the best and achieve the very best of life. Always wanting to make those around me proud of my efforts. I always had an unknown pressure to be a leader, be an example and be someone worth being proud of. Being young you already have a load of pressure from peers to be cool and fit in. So the added pressure I felt to be perfect cause me to make some mistakes, learn some tough lessons and walk through some paths that although we’re extremely difficult to combat we’re necessary for “the Junie Today”. As I became more aware of who I am and the value I can bring to the world, I started learning to trust the process and enjoy the journey more and not worry so much about arriving to a place of perfection but arriving to a place of peace, pursuit, passion and purpose. I realized that “progression was my aim and that it mattered more than perfection.”
If I could tell my younger self something today; it would be that your amazing just the way you are and to enjoy every moment for what it is.
