We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Juming Delmas a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Juming, appreciate you joining us today. Have you been able to earn a full-time living from your creative work? If so, can you walk us through your journey and how you made it happen? Was it like that from day one? If not, what were some of the major steps and milestones and do you think you could have sped up the process somehow knowing what you know now?

Yes, I have been able to earn a full-time living from my creative work, but it didn’t happen overnight. When we were starting Juming Delmas Studios, we took strategic steps to ensure sustainability from the beginning. One of the most important decisions we made was to reduce our expenses significantly before launching the business. This allowed us to build a strong foundation and focus on growth without the immediate pressure of financial strain.

In the early days, I took on multiple roles and projects, ranging from background acting to backstage management at events like Pod Fest. These experiences not only helped build a network but also sharpened my skills in different aspects of the industry. As we began to secure more clients and expand our services, we were able to reinvest in the business, hire a dedicated team, and develop high-quality content that truly set us apart.

Knowing what I know now, I realize that strategic planning and financial discipline were key in speeding up our growth process. By managing our expenses and focusing on building long-term client relationships, we were able to reach a sustainable, full-time income faster than if we had taken a more traditional approach. Today, JDS is a thriving business that not only provides a full-time living but also allows us to help other businesses tell their stories and achieve their own success.

My name is Juming Delmas, and I am the founder and CEO of Juming Delmas Studios, a film production and full-service marketing company. My journey into this industry began with a deep passion for storytelling and an unwavering desire to make an impact through creative expression. I started as a background actor on major movie sets and gained valuable experience behind the scenes as a backstage manager at events like Pod Fest. These roles not only honed my skills but also fueled my ambition to create a platform that could bring unique narratives to life and help other businesses and individuals do the same.

Can you share your view on NFTs? (Note: this is for education/entertainment purposes only, readers should not construe this as advice)

I believe NFT’s are a unique way of creating digital. art. I just recently did a podcast on NFT’s and learned a lot about what they are and how communities can be developed from it. I do believe they are a little to a head of its time but I completely see the benefits in it.
