Alright, Julina thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?

The mid- life crisis is real. I turned 30 and that’s when I started to struggle with finding a purpose in this life. I work a full time job as nurse and knew god has to have more planned for me in this lifetime then the 9-5 and living paycheck to paycheck. There are a lot of influencers in tiktok that inspire me and Avery Woods is the perfect example of who I want to become. So I have leaned on social media and content creation go fulfill my time and make me feel like I’m working towards something. I want to look back and at least say I tired then not have. It makes me feel like one day it can happen for me, just like it has happen to every other influencer out there. I want to travel and see the world and be a successful women with money in her pockets and life life to fullest and also provide the best life possible for family and friends and spoil them like they deserve to be. I also want to give back to charities with the extra money I make one day.

Julina, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

My name is Julina Busby. I’m 31 years old married with no kids. I work full time in the medical field. I love to travel and grow and see the world and just do and be better as a person. I have gotten into the influencer/ content creating world to fulfill my time and make me feel like I have a purpose in this world. I’m a person that once I have my mind set on something I will not stop until I achieve it and that is where I have gotten with influencing and content creation. I will not stop until I make it and it’s my full time lifestyle. I want to sign with skincare or clothing brands and do paid collaborations, brand trips, start a podcast. etc and meet new people and grow and experience what the world has to offer then my small town. I am proud of myself for taking the first step putting myself out there on social media and going for it and not caring what people in my small town think. I have gotten a few PR packages with skincare brands and have grown my following and still continue to grow! I have recently grown closure to god and got bap! My goals are to continue to grow and eventually have a big break through with a brand or whatever is meant for me. I feel like my work stands out differently due to most skincare videos you see are bright and airy. I take a different approach and keep it true to me and my personality,,as to black and dark aesthetic is my favorite color/vibe. So all my videos I try to keep more on the aesthetic darker side. I want to bring something different with my personality incorporated into it.

How did you build your audience on social media?

Engage, engage and engage! I have grown my following and audience by engaging with people on social media. I also state is always a good idea to put your email address into your bio so that brands and anyone who wants to reach out to you to work with you can email you! My other advice I have used for myself is to not care what other thinks of you. If you are like me and come from a small town where people talk about and stalk your profile but never like or comment on anything, then that is more of a reason to keep going! So the day you make it, it proves them wrong even more. I heard a saying that said “ it’s cringy until it works” and I am living by that!

In your view, what can society to do to best support artists, creatives and a thriving creative ecosystem?

Share, comment and support! Everyone who is your friends or family or even strangers, it cost NOTHING to share and support them. I think we can all do better in not thinking in our heads “ oh look at her/ him trying to do this and that” and it look at it as that person is trying to grow and become and better successful person.
