We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Juliet Amoah a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Juliet, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What do you think it takes to be successful?
Success to me, is living out my God given purpose without limitations. A lot of people associate success with money or fame, I don’t believe it’s either of those. Success will look differently for everyone. Success could be being the best parent you can be, while raising Godly children. Or it could be finishing school or starting a business. I believe it’s important for each person to identify what that looks like and own it.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
It’s so funny how I started my Genesis 33 consulting business. I actually worked as the receptionist for a consulting firm and then became an executive assistant. Working at the firm, I would have never imagined I would be starting my own consulting company. It honestly organically happened. I’ve always been a creative and have worked on multiple projects/productions outside of work. I was always the girl who had other things to do after work and those were the things I was passionate about. I loved helping people with their video shoots, productions, events etc. I would genuinely just help them because I wanted to help and believed in their vision. It wasn’t until a friend suggested why don’t you start charging people and I thought, how? I don’t have a business set up. Another friend advised, why don’t you have a business yet? You seem so business minded I’m surprised you don’t own your own company. It was then the light bulb moment hit me! I definitely need to establish a brand and God put it in my heart to establish Genesis 33 consulting. I started the business in 2024 and I thank God for the amazing clients He has brought my way!
Amoah Body & Beauty birthed from my love for skin care and beauty. Since I was young, my mother always loved fashion, skincare and fragrance. She introduced me to them and I remember falling in love with it. It wasn’t until I got older and realized my skin is super sensitive and acne prone. All of the great products that everyone else would use, just didn’t work for me. I went to the doctors, changed my diet but nothing worked. Out of my frustrations God lead me to start my own skin care company that I’m so proud of! I will officially be launching spring 2025, and I can’t wait for everyone to try it!
For me, I’m really proud of being able to have an idea and actually see it come to life. I love helping people and being apart of their vision as well. I believe God is the perfect example, He said let there be light and since then, we have had light. God spoke things into existence. As children of God, we should move in the power our Father has given us to build His Kingdom. I believe my assignment is to use my creative abilities to build His people.

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
This is such a great question!! I definitely believe in creating organic relationships. A lot of my clients are referrals! I also make sure to create an atmosphere where my clients can trust me with their vision. Checking up on them on things that are not related to business is key and shows you truly care about them. Clients want to feel comfortable and confident in you.
I also strongly believe in the power of prayer! I ask God to lead me to the right people and the ones that are not for me to remove them, not all business is good business. It’s also important to not seem desperate for clients, know the value of your brand and stand on it.
Always remember, the right clients will support, so don’t be discouraged if you are not getting a lot of clients right away.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
Yes! I remember when I was about to graduate from college 100 years ago lol I was so sure I was going to be in the fashion industry. I went to school for fashion merchandising and really wanted to be a stylist. My dream job at the time was to be a stylist for the NBA, I loved men’s fashion. I interned with one particular stylist and would do fashion and movie shoots, so I thought I was getting all the hands on experience. I quickly learned as much as I loved fashion, I didn’t love the industry. I remember my fashion mentor at the time telling me “Juliet I don’t think fashion is for you” you should look into production for maybe the MTV or BET awards. Hearing that was so hard because I truly believed I was called to fashion and I thought he was just trying to discourage me. However, hearing that was truly a blessing in disguise, because he was right.
I took my mentors advice because I realized how much I loved production and seeing things come to life. I found a media production company to work with and that lead me to my passion for production and logistics. The lesson I learned was although sometimes we may think we know what we want, it’s important to listen and be okay with having to pivot in a different direction. I haven’t looked back since!
