Hi Julie, thanks for joining us today. We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.

I am a Psychic Medium, a truth which inspires some people but invites ridicule and judgement from others. Luckily, their fear and ignorance does not diminish the value of what I do. I have seen a good Reading save people from decades of anguish, release them from the crushing grip of grief, springboard their spiritual awakening, and reignite eternal bonds of love. What greater healing can there be than to receive evidence that those loved ones who have crossed over are not lost to us after all? God, Source, Spirit (whatever you call it) works in amazing ways, and they never cease to amaze me. We truly are eternal soul beings, and our loved ones are eager to communicate! I invite you to be skeptical but receptive, to willingly suspend disbelief and journey with me into the incredible world of energy healing and mediumship. It’s real and it’s amazing.

Twenty years ago when my dear grandfather crossed over after a long battle with cancer, I went searching for proof of life everlasting. I watched every John Edward “Crossing Over” show and read every spiritual book I could get my hands on. Receiving Readings from amazing Mediums who described my grandfather in detail and brought through significant evidence that he was still involved in my daily life brought me incredible peace and hope. I gained more faith in the fact that we truly are divine soul beings through those incredible personal experiences, than I ever found at church.

Like most people, I assumed that I was lacking something special that those Mediums had, because I couldn’t see or hear or feel Spirit. So, I moved on with raising children and managing an IT company with my husband, fascinated and grateful that some magical people had abilities that seemed elusive to me. Then a perfect storm of grief, physical pain, and corporate burnout lead me searching once again. And I will be forever grateful that I found Reiki.

Reiki is a Japanese energy healing modality that promotes healing and relaxation for a Recipient as a trained Reiki Master channels Chi, Prana, or Universal life-force energy to them. It sounds “Woo”, but feels amazing, and there is real science behind it. And again, it was my personal experience with the full spectrum of physical sensations, emotional healing, and healthy life choices that those Reiki sessions enabled that fueled my curiosity and determination to learn more about it.

It was 6 weeks after my Reiki Master class that I had my first mediumistic encounter. While practicing Reiki on a friend, whose mother I had never known in life and knew nothing about, suddenly came to my awareness. I knew her name stared with a “P”, that she loved house plants, and that she had given my friend a necklace for her 16th birthday. But in typical human fashion, I argued with myself, convinced that I was making it up and my friend would think I was crazy. Then her mother washed me in a wave of the purest, most nurturing, unconditional motherly love that left me with tears streaming down my face, and I nervously resolved to ask her about it after the session. “I know this sounds crazy, but…” My friend was in tears as she confirmed that her mother’s name was Pauline, she had a room dedicated to house plants, and she was wearing the necklace that her mother had given her! We were both shocked, amazed, excited, and profoundly moved.

I’ve been in intuitive development classes, workshops, mentorships, and practice groups ever since. Sometimes I still have to pinch myself that it truly is real. At times, spirit communication is elusive and frustrating, but more and more it is as natural as breathing and infinitely joyous and inspiring. It turns out that Reiki training tends to help people calm their minds, open and expand their energetic pathways, and tune into their own intuition.

Growing up in a military family, having studied Environmental Science, and then being an IT Project Manager and CFO was about as left-brained as it gets, yet here I am. I talk to dead people. And it’s available to anyone who feels passionate enough to develop it, like learning to play an instrument or speak a foreign language. Only this is more like remembering the language of your soul, and it’s your diving birthright. Spirit communication is heaven-sent and delivered on angelic wings of love. The sages have been saying it for millenia, and I’m here to confirm that we are soul beings and we are connected by love regardless of which side of the veil we’re on. Crossing out of the physical body to return home is like stepping out of a rental car, and we can still communicate with other drivers.

Reiki, and the Psychic Mediumship abilities that it awakened and continues to nourish, have brought life back to my life. In shifting from corporate to cosmic, I have discovered a compassionate life of service to my clients and students, and to all of our loved ones on the Other Side. I have found joy, wonder, satisfaction, passion, and purpose, and I have gained confidence and connection in ways I only dreamed of. I’m not here to convince or convert anyone, and there will always be those who refuse to allow this incredible healing into their lives. But I’m happy to report that where there is the potential for healing, it’s worth the risk.

I am a Usui Reiki Ryoho Holy Fire® III Reiki Master Teacher and Registered Karuna Reiki® Master Teacher, as well as an Angelic Reiki Practitioner and a Certified Medical Reiki Master. I am registered with the International Center for Reiki Training as an Affiliate member of the Reiki Membership Association, and certified with Raven Keyes Medical Reiki International as a Medical Reiki Master. Additionally, I am also a Registered Reiki Professional with the International Association of Reiki Professionals, the Reiki Healing Association, the International Reiki Organization, and The Center for Reiki Research.

I have created and hosted several online events, including “Zen Wednesdays” and “Soul Journey Sundays”, and I have had the honor of being interviewed on numerous podcasts including: “Psychic Matters”, “Sacred Connections”, “Journey to Wellness”, “Mediumship Matters”, “The Sedona Files”, “Be the Love”, “Floating On a Cloud”, “Business News Network”, and “Brighter Day in the Neighborhood”. I host a monthly intuitive development class at Celestial Salt Metaphysical shop, and provide Readings at various locations monthly throughout Colorado Springs and online. I also teach Reiki I/II, Reiki Master Teacher, and Karuna Reiki Master Teacher certification classes throughout the year.

I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Science from the University of Alabama as well as Certificates in Energy Medicine, Music Therapy, and Sound Healing from the University of Colorado. I have mentored with Tony Stockwell for several years and studied with many other incredible teachers of the Intuitive Arts, and have had the privilege of studying Mediumship at the Omega Institute in Rhinebeck, NY as well as at the internationally acclaimed Arthur Findlay College in Stansted, England. I have taught Reiki internationally, given Readings to hundreds and hundreds of people around the world, and I have a diverse and thriving student community.

I am the Director of Energy Medicine for Healing Wheel Wellness Retreats, and I have served as the Program Director for LifeSpark Cancer Resources. In my free time, I am honored to provide Reiki as a volunteer at UCHealth Memorial Hospital Central in the Outpatient Infusion Center as well as for Participants of the LifeSpark Cancer Resources program.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?

Word of mouth and personal referrals from clients and students are vital to any small business. Over the years, I have consistently approached my work with integrity and a heart-centered desire to serve. I diligently strive to work fearlessly, trusting that my effort will be loving received. This work is not about me, or my Ego, or even what I want it all to be. I have a sacred responsibility to uplift, enlighten, and empower with everything I do. It’s about serving, healing, and inspiring others the best I can every day.

Other than training/knowledge, what do you think is most helpful for succeeding in your field?

On a personal level, I have had to embrace patience and trust in developing my skills. Energy healing and the intuitive arts are simply not a quick fix or a light switch. It takes time, perseverance, bravery, dedication, surrender, and selflessness, as well as relentless validation and encouragement. And we are repeatedly reminded that it all invites us to have the heart of a butterfly and the skin of a rhino.

On a technical level, an excellent website is a must-have to attract clients and students, while collaboration with others is a wonderful way to build your visibility and expand your reach.
